I just replaced my belt because it was time. Got it all together and realized the tensioner adjuster is broke. Gonna reweld it on today, but i have no clue how to tighten the belt lol. Its been fun figuring this thing out.

Thank you so much for making such an excellent guide to this old mower I recently bought. It was cutting badly and threw a belt. As a single woman living hours from help you were a life saver. It turns out I’m missing a lot of parts and the belts was put on wrong with the brake sitting on the belt with no brake pads. I don’t know how it was working as well as it was! I’m still not out of the woods and on pasture but I can see the finish line…

Thanks for this video, it explained the replacement very well. Do you ever adjust the nut on the thread rod that engages the blades after a new belt? I replaced my belt following this video and it seemed good but when I disengaged the blades would continue spinning for a very long time

Hi Brad, Unrelated question. I have a quiet technology craftsman snowblower. Can I remove the filter in the gas tank? Every year I drain the tank I t pops loose and a pain to re-install or should I wrestle it back into the tank? Thanks again.
