Once again your channel has helped me. Ordered the switch from amazon Monday, delivered Tuesday, fitted in 30 minutes on the Wednesday. Mk3, 1.8LX. Removed the lid of the air cleaner. Deep 22mm socket with an 18 inch extension to crack the nut after removing the plug, then unscrewed by hand. Replacement screwed in by hand, nipped up with the socket and plugged in. Air filter cover fastened back down. Longest part of the job was finding the tools littered around our workshop.

Great Video, i replaced the reverse light switch on my Mondeo yesterday and this video was a great help, i managed to unscrew and retighten mine using a 22mm ring spanner rather than a deep reach socket.

Cant thank you enough for this video had something similar  where the reverse light flash on then off however when you held the gearstick in reverse the lights would say on, replaced the switch after watching this video and job done works a treat! Carry on making videos like this :)

A big thx from norway man! I was planning to dismount the transmission mount in order to gain access to the reverse switch. Thx to Your tip I got the switch out in 5 minutes. Used a big 22mm, got place for it when the tool was oriented toward the radiador. I bridged the connector with paperclip....light! Greetings from norway!

The Mondeo Diesel Mk3 uses two slightly different switches; one for the 5-speed box and a longer one for the 6-speed box. It's not easy reading the OEM part number either. I needed three pairs of reading glasses, stacked, and a magnifying glass. PA46-GF30 for the 6-speed, which is also Ford 1805255.
Try putting the car details into www.fpukfindapart.co.uk ( which is part of SMPE,) under 'Engine Management'. You don't need a user name and password for parts finding, just for ordering. It will give you the InterMotor and FuelParts numbers, and a useful photo.

Very useful, thank you, I'll be doing this soon and hope it resolves my reversing lights not working issue. I'm amazed this wasn't an MOT fail when I too the car the other day (not on pre-2009 cars, apparently), but obviously its best to get this fault resolved asap as its a safety issue and could lead to problems in the event of an accident.
