It’s crazy how Timothy made so many correct observations about government and came to the stupidest possible conclusions

“Less than 5% of the targets killed by the bomb we’re actually the intended targets”
Tim being part of the U.S. military, yeah that tracks.

I love the idea of a guy genuinely not knowing the KKK is racist, getting the material, and going "hey, wait, hang on, this is racist!".

“I hate the government for killing innocent civilians. Let me go murder 166 civilians” -Moron Timothy McVeigh

It baffles me the US Army came asking for a measly 1000$ overpaid to a Desert Storm veteran.

My middle school English teacher was McVeigh’s sister. When the class found out, some of the kids made very unsavory jokes and made her cry. I felt so horrible. She was a wonderful teacher and she was very supportive of my writing. She did not deserve that. I hope she gets all love and healing she needs.

The boy at 1:16 is actually my brother. My mom’s two boys (my brothers), Chase and Colton, passed away in the Oklahoma City bombing. Chase was 3 years old, and Colton was just 2. My mom and grandma both worked a couple of blocks away and heard the bomb go off. When they realized it came from the direction of the Murrah Building, they ran there, but it was already too late.

My grandma ended up writing three books about everything that happened and her journey afterward. She’s also made a couple of documentaries. She even visited the Neo-Nazi camp where McVeigh and Nichols had stayed, has kept in regular contact with Terry Nichols over the years, and was there when Timothy McVeigh was executed.

The names of her books are Now You See Me: How I Forgave the Unforgivable, After Oklahoma City, and Shadows of Conspiracy. If anyone wants to check them out, they’re all really good.

Thank you for covering this topic Wendy.

Interesting story: the now infamous photo of the wounded baby being held by the firefighter was taken by a freelance/amateur photographer. He was nearby when the bombing happened, and he remembered that he had a camera in the trunk of his parked car. He knew it would be important to document what had happened. He ran back to his car and grabbed his camera and ran to the scene. That photo of the wounded baby (her name was Baylee Almon) being cradled in a firefighters arms won the Pulitzer Prize in 1996.

I feel like it was a … small blessing that his grandfather never had to see the boy he loved and raised show his true colors. Passed away literally just days before it all happened. Last conversation they had, he didn’t have to hear his grandson ramble on about his ideology or watch his tapes- by pure coincidence I might add. Just had a nice moment with his family before he had to go.

The Columbine shooters cited McVeigh and the bombing as “inspiration” for what they would end up doing. They even planned their shooting to be the same day as the bombing but moved it one day ahead. It’s creepy to think about the chain of events that started as the FBI raid on Ruby Ridge to modern gun violence in schools.

My grandfather was in OKC at the time, 3 blocks away from the federal building for a conference. After hearing the explosion, he, and a bunch of colleagues, ran up the street to find the streets littered with glass, concrete, paper, and bloodied people. He proceeded to spend hours helping people with the first responders, particularly mentioning having seen a woman with pieces of glass covering her entire body, and many deceased children. Afterwards, he returned to his hotel, and, after seeing himself in the mirror, he had finally noticed the amount of blood that covered him.
It's the only story he has told me that has made him cry.

The trilogy is complete - Waco, the prequel in Ruby Ridge, and now the sequel.

Imagine telling someone that your babysitter was Timothy McVeigh.

My mom was working the ER that day; she and the rest of the hospital staff felt the blast abd immediately began prepping rooms. She was one of only a few hundred certified emergency pediatric nurses in the country at the time and was one of the people who spent that day fighting for the lives of the children effected. Im so proud of her and i hope i can become a hero like her one day.

I understood why Isaiah was getting emotional when talking about the victims of the bombing. Then he talked about the Firefighter finding the 6 month old girl. I started tearing up at work and had to walk into the back
