The Lord also granted St. Macarius the gift of spiritual discernment. To everyone who came to him for the revelation of their conscience, he provided a remedy befitting their infirmity. His humble words were also effective, a word with authority, for they compelled the unbeliever to obey and believe. Humility was evident in the saint's appearance, in his clothing, in his every movement. His face was radiant from the constant Jesus Prayer he recited; it shone with spiritual joy and love for his neighbor. If you wish, you can support the channel: 5469 5400 2137 7096 (SBERBANK)
