"Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the outcome of their life, imitate their faith" (Hebrews 13:7).

Today, on the biblical portal "Exegetus," Priest Valery Dukhanin speaks with Hieromonk Pamphilus (Osokin), a resident of the Holy Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius,
cell attendant to four Lavra elders: Archimandrite Vitaly (Meshkov) (1936-2014),
Archimandrite Laurentiy (Postnikov) (1933-2020), Archimandrite Nikita (Pronin) (1932-2022), and Schema-Archimandrite Nikon (Deyev) (1936-2020). Today we will talk about one of them, namely, Archimandrite Vitaly (Meshkov), and his remarkable life and spiritual journey. St. Sergius of Radonezh appeared to Father Vitaly eight times, and the Mother of God herself prompted him on how to read the Akathist to her.
