Demon of fear pulling strings in the name of survival instincts.
God knows the future perfectly.
God is perfectly moral and values human well being.
God chooses what to reveal in a sacred text.
God therefore knows, before revealing it, how particular wording will be interpreted and used throughout history.
Some passages are reasonably foreseeable to produce enormous suffering, persecution, discrimination, or violence.
God could have communicated the same underlying moral message in a way that avoided that foreseeable misuse.
Yet God chose the wording anyway.
Why would a perfectly good God knowingly choose an unnecessarily harmful form of revelation?
