Not long ago, our Pastor generated a sermon using AI (at first without telling us it was generated by AI), and presented it to the congregation. None of us batted an eyelash. Then he told us the entire message had been created using AI, and went on about how each of us individually need to be rooted in scripture so that we will be able to discern between genuine spiritual teaching and fake. This was over a year ago, and I can't remember all of what was taught, but it really alarmed me.

Re: the voice cloning / image faking -- this is a very real problem. Essentially any video randomly going around the internet should be treated with skepticism.

Having worked w/ AI considerably for my work, I would disagree w/ the no qualia claim. They do have something like that, and they have more going on than the reductionistic thinking many use would claim. This does not supplant humans or the image of God inherent value we have.

It’s interesting but it seems the Christian voice (even across divides) is very cautious about AI. I think it’s warranted, and I really appreciate God giving us guidance in a confusing age.

When I was a young Christian I listened to a Pastor who’s name was Ortlund. Just wondered if you are a son of his. I’m 93 years old.
I’m love Dr. Lennox. Listen to his YouTube videos frequently. This is the first time I’ve seen Gavin Ortlund. Appreciate this video. Will probably see you again.
