Schwantz was my favorite back then. Here he is showing them how his standard riding style of keeping his upper body weight more upright keeps his contact patches pressed down into the tarmac and his opponents leaning over further with their bike is compromising their traction through every corner. You can see him cornering with very different lines from the lead pack in the dry that year using the same technique. Kevin didn’t have the same horsepower as the other big 3 guys but he occasionally was able to eke out a win due to his better execution/ cornering. Great rider with sensitive touch.
