The fact that the voice acting is so bad despite bringing aboard a bunch of talented new big name voice actors leads me to genuinely believe that they were told to purposely make the voice acting sound bad so that it would feel like the other two games.

This game feels like when a genie grants your deepest, happiest wish in a horribly twisted way that makes you regret everything.

Sounds like the voice actor still hasn’t found a reason to live since 1999.

They had 19 years and they are still able to deliver the exact same quality of brilliant voice acting as the other Shenmue games. Truly a masterpiece.

Shenmue 3 took 19 years and then fell down, dragged himself through the mud trying to get back up but then decided to stay there... At this point Yakuza was flippin' soaring the sky

I love how shenmue 1 had revolutionary graphics for a dreamcast game. And now shenmue 3 looks like a dreamcast game with a fresh coat of paint lol.

I somehow missed that this game got released and genuinely thought this was a Dreams fan game when the combat started

Fun fact: Yu Suzuki, the creator of Shenmue, has stated that he doesn't enjoy playing video games.

Maybe he's just trying to convey that feeling through the Shenmue series and is actually doing an incredible job with it.

This game made Dunkey laugh, cry, gain a gambling addiction, and age nineteen years. Truly one of the most moving games ever made in Dreams

I've never even touched a Shenmue game, but seeing that ending made me angry on behalf of everyone who was invested in this series.
