A bike trip through Argentine Patagonia towards El Chaltén, after completing the challenging border crossing from Chile via Lago del Desierto.
In this episode, I continue my bike journey along the gravel roads of Patagonia, pedaling through the rain and traversing some of the most spectacular landscapes of Santa Cruz province. After several physically demanding days, the pace slows, and a fundamental aspect of bicycle touring emerges: knowing when to stop, rest, and enjoy the scenery without focusing solely on the kilometers or reaching the next destination.
As I head towards El Chaltén, I reflect on the importance of taking breaks during a long bike trip, the fatigue, the effort, the constant movement, and everything that makes it possible for us to get where we are.
Elisa continues her own journey through Patagonia and, during one of her stops, finally manages to observe and film a huemul deer in the wild, one of the most emblematic and elusive animals of the Andean-Patagonian forests.
This episode is part of my bicycle journey through Patagonia between Bariloche and Ushuaia, traveling through Argentina and Chile on a cycle touring and adventure trip through some of the region's most remote places.
