You see, dwarf slayers operate on saiyan logic, where the longer, spikier and brighter the hair is, the more danger you are in

"What if slayers, but fire? Okay we're done"

-GW Writer, probably

Friendly reminder that the first time Gotrek saw a fireslayer, he immediately thought they were Dawi Zharr

Correction: We now know why Grungii and Grimnir where chained to the mountain. Hashut gave them a curse of madness and Grungii tied them to a mountain to stop themselves from going crazy across the realms

I don't care what you say a suspiciously tall bald dwarf in an unconvincing beard turning up at random fights then vanishing sounds too funny for me to not support. Vulkan vacations in AoS in my heart.

A friend of mine actually mentioned a short story that had a Fyreslayer as an antagonist and the framing of the story framed the guy as being terrifying he was in the throes of Glimmerlust and so powered up by the Ur-gold in him that he was able to climb a sheer stone cliff by punching holes into it and was basically described as a flaming blender in combat.

You may need to do an update for this video as the fyreslayers are now being turned into a subfaction for the new khazalite holds.

PANCREAS!!! MAKE A PLAYLIST OF YOUR DO OR DONT SERIES, AND MY LIFE IS YOURS!!!!

With how orcs/orruks are in aos, there is a non zero possibility of a duo consisting of a smart bonesplitter and a fyreslayer wandering the relms looking for fights

One thing I feel is worth mentioning is that the Fyreslayers have actually expanded upon the original Slayer's Oath in their culture, breaking it into two forms; Barazakdum and Grimnyn. Barazakdum, meaning "The Doom Oath", is the old-school Slayer's Oath; a disgraced Duardin of the Fyreslayers faction who has vowed to amend their dishonor by dying in glorious battle. In contrast, Grimnyn is "The Oath of Destiny"; translating directly as "fated wanderer", a duradin who has sworn Grimnyn has sworn to pursue a new purpose in life by walking the bloody road of the adventurer. In a sense, it's like if being a Slayer had an option to declare their oath fulfilled whilst they still lived. Which is a neat little bit of nuance that ties into how the Fyreslayers are more... morally flexible, shall we say, than their original counterparts.

Just need a Do Or Don’t Flesh-Eater Courts now and my friend group will all have videos to reference during our games

Finally, the army with the lowest clothes to soldiers ratio in all of warhammer

Gotrek the enemy's gurnisson so hard he Felix's himself and disappears forever.

The fyre slayers need to lean in to the dragon/drake theme way more imo

Desperately needs more variety in the army

3:11 Regarding the Great Betrayal: we do have something now, according to the Helsmith of Hashut lore. The gist of it is that Hashut wanted to claim both Aqshy and Chamon, but Grimnir already claimed Aqshy while Grungni claimed Chamon, so Hashut was stuck with Ghur. Then one day the other Ancestor Gods visited him and accused him of animal rights violations (they heard rumours he was using the souls of Ghurish beasts as a power source.) Hashut denied these allegations.

Grungni then started criticizing Hashut's architecture. This made Hashut very angry, so he broke into the Realm of Chaos for a power boost, then sent cursed items disguised as gifts which drove both Grungni and Grimnir into madness and sent them on insane angry rampages across Chamon. Grungni had a moment of lucidity where he realized what was done to them. So he crafted chains to bind himself and Grimnir to the mountain until they could calm down and recover their sanity.

While this was going on, Valaya raised a massive army as well as the other Duardin Ancestor Gods and marched to confront Hashut. The resulting battle saw most of the Ancestor Gods wounded. Valaya destroyed Hashut's physical body, and then either died or disappeared.

Note that this is the Chaos Duardin version of the story, and there are a few holes in it. It's entirely possible that parts it are just propaganda.

3:50 On Grimnir and Vulcatrix's blast radius: Vulcatrix's death spawned Magmadroths across the Mortal Realms as well. Ur-gold also contains Vulcatrix's essence as well as Grimnir (I personally suspect the negative side effects of ur-gold come from Vulcatrix.) So Vulcatrix's death was arguably the more consequential of the two - because aside from co-creating ur-gold and terraforming Aqshy, it also created the entire Magmadroth species.

28:00 On Fyreslayer Allies: there are Fyreslayer Subfactions, such as the Hermdar Lodge, who go out of their way to ally with other factions, avoid price-gouging their allies, and in some cases will even work for free (usually when liberating slaves who have no gold to pay them with anyway.)

2:27 …Okay, but there better be lunch before we get started

32:00 that's honestly strange... you'd think the faction that's literally fusing metallic flesh bits of their god into their own skin would just automatically get some kinds of protections from spell damage or at least something to disrupt their foes arcane abilities!

Funnily we now have the answer of why Grungni and Grimnir were chained up there, it was Hashut

4:21 honestly in general I like to the concept of; "dead (or as close as possible to begin dead) gods still being worshiped or venerated".
This goes to show yes, you can have deities in a fantasy setting being out of commission in terms of being literally unable to (at least directly/consciously) aid or interaction with followers while still being interesting.

For example, Ironically the most interesting part about the Slaanesh factions in AOS is their god being largely contained, not dead persay but largely not (directly) present yet that hasn't stopped their followers from doing their own things, which gives much needed agency for Chaos factions that sometimes feels lacking or hollow.
