This is so old that Graham Norton is horrified when Dougal thinks he's 40. Now he'd be flattered!

The "small far away" line get quoted as much as monty python.

Ted explaining the difference between small and far away to Dougal reminds me of my conversations with flat earthers.

According to Graham Lineham the reason they did the sewage gag is because during the Father Stone episode when filming the golf scene they used two rain machines and it was raining hard anyway so all the actors were soaked to the skin. When filming was done Dermot Morgan said to the writers "what are you going to do next? Cover us in shite". So they wrote this episode especially for that.

I'm familiar with the inverse holiday, where it's so crappy that being home again feels like the holiday instead.

Ted was a long time ago. In an interview Norton said it's weird, kids coming up to him saying they love him in it, "You weren't born when I was in Father Ted!"

Always loved the joke that even though it’s July 19th, Jack having had his most recent bath last Christmas means he’s “just had” it

They pack for holiday, get in the car and just before they leave "where will we go on holiday?" 😂

Nice work as per usual. Dermot and Ardal were very cold that day when they were covered in that slurry. Ardal found a farmhouse in the area and begged its residents to let him have a bath. They kept the bar of soap, he used.

Pat Shortt, the actor who played Tom (the guy driving the sewage truck), is actually one of Ireland’s greatest comedians. He was part of the Irish comedy duo D’Unbelievables with Jon Kenny. You should see his other stuff like Killinaskully, another Irish sitcom he was in, and films like The Garage and The Flag.

July 19th...Ah-ha, Ted. Ice Age Ends!

The small/far away scene wasn't in the original script. It was ad-libbed by the cast in rehearsals and then pencilled into the finished version.

"It's got cocaine in it" 😂😂 Pauline McLynn's delivery of that line is just brilliant 😂😂😂

There really is a magic road in Ireland in county down. The terrain around it looks fools ya into thinking the hill is going up but it actually goes down. Ireland is magical
