eating popcorn and watching drummers die inside while reacting to this guy is my new favorite thing

Bro...I'm 62. I've been playing drums since I'm 9 with very few days off. I consider myself a very good drummer. This man is just on another level, and even scarier...he's nowhere near his headroom. It's not just chops. His musicality is unbelievable. He plays so over the top , but never drowns out the song with stupid shit.

The man starts out with  8ths played over 4/4...  Moves to 8/4 with 32nd triplets within the 4/4... During the bridge it's 16/4 but when he flips the stick from his belt it moves 32...  This is a man who knows that every POP song written with a Lynn drum machine would have been served better by a real drummer

“I feel so inadequate as a drummer” sums it up perfectly every time I watch his videos

Sometimes someone comes along in life, whether it’s sport or music etc, who is just unquestionably on a completely different stratosphere to the next best. This guy is he.

This drummer has literally reinvented the way to play drums. This type of musical brain does not come around often. Genius

The sad fact is you can spend whole life playing drums and never get even close to this level. This dude is a beast.

“Wow, it’s a beat I can play .  .  .  never mind.”   LOL.  Always enjoy watching experienced drummers get blown away by him.  😎👍

Best drummer in the world. Period.
He's the pinnacle of drumming. There's NOTHING and NO ONE above him.
And EVERY SINGLE DRUMMER, regardless of popularity, should aspire to become something like him.
Becose NONE of them are even remotely close

"Finally, a beat I can do....nevermind!" 🤣🤣🤣 He's just on another level. You're the first of dozens of reactions I've watched of this song that really noticed the swap to two sticks in the right. Great reaction!

As a drummer myself,  you cant help but laugh at times because of the sheer technique and abilities of EL. Its like watching Dimash sing. Hes on such a higher level than everyone else, you just cant help but laugh.

"what is happening right now?" yes, that is the correct answer for literally any El Estepario video.

You can always tell who is a real player and who isn't based on how broken their brain gets watching Estepario. It is one thing to recognize what he does, but another thing entirely to KNOW what he is doing while understanding how difficult it really is.

his best cover for me is godzilla using 3 snare drums 3 sticks and 4 pedals... i mean WTAF... it is mental.

And to make it even more incredible, he is a very humble man. He doesn't hold himself in high esteem like you would think. He's always giving other musicians props. One drummer he fawns over is Eloy Grande'...Eloy is bonkers as well, but Estepario consistently makes your brain scribble with seemingly effortless patterns, times, grooves, and on and on and....He also encourages everyone to push themselves to be better through practice practice practice..!! We're all extremely blessed to get to consume such brilliance..!! But that's just me talk'n...

By far the best reaction of this video I’ve seen so far and I’ve literally seen dozens of reviews from dozens of different drummers your legitimate concerns of inadequacy is exactly how all of us drummers feel at the same time our absolute respect and amazement at his pure genius

10:01 "Drummer Reacts to El Estepario Siberiano": Nevermind I'll just be the singer now. :D

As a non-drummer myself, I never expected to find myself consuming so much drumming content. ES is simply mesmerizing to watch, and an inspiration to anyone who is striving to achieve greatness in their respective craft.

I absolutely love when real drummers react to this... past all the flash and bang they "know" how hard it is to do one of these things perfectly whilst maintaining rock solid back-beats clean as a whistle but then let's just for fun do 4 at once... and make the song sooo much better as a result. His limb independence is staggering to watch but my favourite thing about Jorge is his insane orchestration and musicianship. Love your reactions...

It's like 2 elite drummers rolled up into one. Four arms. The transition where he flips the stick is sick and smooth.🤯🤯
