so let me get this straight... a woman can sexually harass a man, even in public, and nobody gives a fuck, but if a man did the same thing then they're a creep who needs to be locked up and 10 people jump in to protect the woman...WHAT?! also, a man can be seen crying and he's called a wimp and a loser, but if it was a woman seen crying, then people feel sorry for her and want to help her with everything...again, WHAT?!

They find you attractive it’s all good, they find you unattractive then you’re a creep.

Don't forget abt how whenever the popular mf from ur classroom said a joke all the class would laugh, but when it was one of the background characters nobody gave a shit 💔

The thing i hate about double standards is that
Whenever a SA victim is a female they get support protection and most of the time justice
But when its a male all of sudden people are just making fun of the victim saying "you got lucky" or "i wish that was me" and calll him a coward and make fun of the male victim most of the time which is just straight up BS
I really hate it ur a victim and you deserve justice no matter what gender you are

And then there's the final boss of double standards. GENDER

Double standard, rich alcoholic vs regular alcoholic. Rich person speaks multiple languages vs regular person speaking multiple languages.  Feminism vs toxic feminism, same with masculinity

"Flirt vs harrasment" aah thumbnail

I despise double standards especially in the commentary community

I have a male friend, who was the victim of domestic violence. One time he told me, that his then girlfriend was hitting him in public, to the point of him bleeding and people walking by would ask his girlfriend if she is okay, while completely ignoring him. They just assumed that he deserved it.
If, even after taking a huge beating, my friend would've chosen to defend himself, even by just pushing her away from him, we all know reactions would've been drastically different and he probably would've been arrested.

Another thing I've noticed is the difference in clothing models. It's really just a minor thing and not an actual issue but models for women's clothing have a multitude of body types, to represent more women, while for men's clothing, there are only those super ripped models, even though most men don't look like that.
I don't think most men care to be honest, I know I don't, but it's still a double standard.

one of the biggest double standards are men/women only spaces/institutions/clubs. Used to be a lot of them, but laws forced most to get disbanded or include women, however women only spaces are thriving because they get legal loopholes that men dont have access to.

If Chris Chan and Hasan Piker swapped bodies, a lot of people would start believing in the dimensional merge.

The attractive unattractive thing is what some movies use and of course booktok books use to justify the main girl character being assaulted the main guy character and that isn’t right

i get so mad when i see double standards

I feel that the example of a double standard in the thumbnail is very accurate to how our culture has double standards when it comes to gender in that if a woman is obese then it's viewed as empowering by our culture, but if a man is obese, then it's viewed as disgusting by our culture.
Another double standard that our culture has when it comes to gender is that if a woman has a more masculine build (meaning having large muscles) then our culture views it as empowering, but if a man has a more feminine build (meaning having a more slender build) then our culture labels him as not being a real man.

Sometimes it's flat out Favoritism.

Theres the double standard of popular opinions vs unpopular opinions. If you have an opinion on say, a movie, and that opinion lines up with everyone else's, no one will bat an eye at you. Hell, if you try and articulate your opinon further, you're way more likely to be called a genius regardless of how well you actually articulated your opinion. If you have a hot take, suddenly everything changes. People REALLY care about everything you say now. And if you try to articulate your opinion, you're way more likely to be called an idiot regardless of how well your opinion is articulated.

As a person with high functioning Autism And AHDH It is an important role to NEVER use that as an excuse, only other people can if they want to because if you do it, it sounds manipulative

Need to rant about virtue signaling. Compared to actually caring
