Nissan Just Built the Electric Camper Van Surfers Have Been Waiting For

Nissan and German coachbuilder Eifelland have unveiled the Interstar-e Relax, a fully electric camper van built on Nissan's Interstar-e platform. Powered by an 87-kilowatt-hour battery, the van offers up to 255 miles of driving range, with vehicle-to-load functionality that lets its parking heater draw power directly from the battery instead of needing an external hookup — practical for off-grid stays near the coast. The camper features a large bed on a slatted frame with a sleeping area of about 1.90 x 1.60 meters, plus close to 2.6 cubic meters of storage space for gear, making it well suited to carrying boards and equipment on surf trips.
