Being me, I would immediately open FreeCAD to design a capsule hotel-style sleeping pod to fix to the rear mounts.

You should put a big box on that and make it like an RV, that would be wicked! Put all the stuff you would normally find in one of those motorhomes. Things like a refrigerator, stove, sink, couch..etc. I mean you could really do it up!🚚

I think Telo have it going on with design, perfect for many, but as it is a boutique manufacturer, I don't think they will ever be competitive. I am Japanese, and these manufacturers (cars) are officially imported into Japan through intermediaries and used in agriculture.While Japan has a category called "kei cars" (mini cars), there are few EVs, and since the compatible vehicles are mostly made in China, they haven't really gained much popularity.Geeks like me tend to watch videos like this one when something piques our interest. That's how I learned about a company called Kandi in America.I don't know if this will be helpful, but there are more opportunities to drive rare electric vehicles in the US than in Japan.I'll be cheering you on! The seats look uncomfortable for long term driving, can't recline just a little.

I think I'd prefer to buy a small pickup (think early 1990's Ranger or S10) that was converted to electric, or that I could have converted to an EV.

Looked at them. Not street legal in Michigan so dead at birth. I am going with Slate. Perfect for my weekend place in Michigan's Thumb. (Hobby farm)
