Although anecdotal, a bunch of good players decided to play a modded version of RA3 which adds Uprising units to the game, they actually concluded that the Giga Fortress wasn't that great from their testings of 1v1 matches
The best unit in S tier according to them was the Mortar Cycle
and then in A tier was the Pacifier and Archer Maiden
Gunships were in a balanced B tier alongside Future Tanks and Steel Ronins, with the Giga sharing C tier with the Grinder. Reapers, Legionnaires were considered poor D tier and the Deso was considered total bottom tier
So while the devs and a couple of others suspect it's a good thing Uprising had no multiplayer due to the balance, actual results might've told a different story. Afterall, super heavy units like mammoth tanks are considered quite poor competitively in seemingly every game but Tib 3
