@13:20 My wife was also a firefighter in my department. Everyone loved her because she could fit in so many places that the rest of us couldn't. I was one of the tallest and strongest, and we had this technique where I'd lift her up almost like a cheerleader sometimes through a hole punched into an attic and she could get water onto an attic fire faster than you'd think was possible. I wish helmet cameras were common back then, would have made for great videos.

@2:05 Chilling feeling knowing that I served with some of the men and women who died on duty. We remember them, but sometimes it's easy to forget that every firefighter also mourns them.

Instructor Whitley broke us in my first day at NIPSTA. Great instructor, wish we would have gotten more time to learn from him.

Brother, you have done your CFD family proud! Excellent documentation of hitting the lottery in Chicago. The job was so good to me and my family, here in NYC. Give more than you take, listen and watch and stay low, brother.
