someone in my youth group (a leader) was talking about how she "cured her daughter's autism through the power of God" and i've met her daughter, and we got along really well, becuase we're both neurodivergent as hell.
💛💭 ( the thought bubble is for the white heart) both undiagnosed and invisible but were pushing through! Love it when doctors say I dont have hEDS because I "dont have" things on criterion 1 which I do in fact have (they were demonstration things that she just said I "dont have") went through the criteria myself even got a tape measure to measure how much my skin stretches to MAKE SURE I was not mistaken and i do in fact pass the diagnostic criteria. so much fun. Best wishes for everyone though! Happy disability pride whether invisible, undiagnosed, or anything else YOU ARE VALID! 😘😘😘😘😘
It's crazy how so many of them are talking about how they internalized that they need to DESERVE their rest, accomodations or even just right to exist. We're told so many times that we are a nuisance, or faking it, or overplaying it, etc, it's a whole ass struggle just to get this out of our own heads.
even though I know it’s so hard to actually get accommodation for yourself just remember it isn’t your fault the world wasn’t built for you, you should embrace your disability because it’s not what defines you! :3
💙💛 from someone with an invisible brain disability who is also neurodivergent 😅🥰 I'm also biromantic, asexual and nonbinary(she/her/they/them) 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
💟 (Closest I could find to a white heart): All of my disabilities are invisable/I've been trying to get a gastro appointment to finally get a diagnosis for WTF Is causing my chronic stomach issues 💛: ASD 💙: GAD/OCSPD
