I'm going to try my Russian 20x60 Tento binoculars on Neptune this month and have no doubt that they will pluck out Neptune but holding them still is something else!
I'll watch this in a month's time 🙂 BTW, given that this is very much a UK oriented visual observing show, it would be really useful to show altitudes rather than, or as well as, declinations. The classic Philip's Planisphere for GB references 51.5ºN; that would do!
Had some wonderful summer early AM clear skies (Eastchester Bay, NYC, urban light and early dawn). Among other objects, lovely large crescent moon and its dark outline. Just binocs and naked eye with help of app (I use Stellarium). Thanks for the walk about and details of what and how we see such marvels. Great humor…
