I Reviewed My Favorite Thomas Episodes | Who Did It Better: THE COMPLETE SEASON

Play, Don't Pause

In an effort to clean my channel up a bit, and make it a nicer, tidier place, I have compiled the entire first season of 'Who Did It Better' into one feature length presentation.

Disclaimer: All the content used here falls under fair use, as this IS a review where I give my own personal opinions. This video is not a replacement for the originals. It is an evaluation of Thomas and Friends episodes that looks at the writing, narration, presentation and music, and compares different approaches to different stories/themes.

If you're curious on what counts for fair use, I've provided some videos below that should answer your questions.

I actually have a theory as to why Thomas was initially able to catch up to James in TAB and then struggled to do so again after switching tracks - James' brakes were clearly hard on and probably slowing him down slightly from the resistance against his wheels (not enough to stop the runaway, obviously), but by the time Thomas switched tracks, enough of the wood was burnt away that whatever little bit of deceleration he managed from them was slowly turning into acceleration.

I'm still holding out hope for a Season 2

The trucks could have been colour blind
Makes it easier to confuse Blue & Green when they all look grey

41:02 I think the reason why is because it’s filmed in either TSM (Train Sim World) 5 or TSM 6, which doesn’t have any Thomas faces even if you customise it

I think a good way to describe The Stories of Sodor is that it's a less whimsical version of Thomas. It delves into the societal ramifications of sentient vehicles existing, but the engines also frequently perform exorcisms, so you can't say it's more realistic.

1:25:26 I'm not sure side rod breaking and loosing a wheel count as crashes. It's more like… parts falling off.

The trucks in the TV series are colorblind, that's why they couldn't see Peter Sam color.

I love complications

It's fantastic to see all of these comparison and talk videos since I discovered your channel here.

Hope you'll be able to do more stuff on here. Weather they compare to the RWS, TV, and adaptations that share the same story and/or formate and maybe more fan story and their adaptations.

I would like to see more on here, but it's your channel. You make the choice here.

Until then, take care!

The writers in the adventure begins just took the books rewrite the whole thing and make the events play out differently

If these were later, I imagine Trampy would be on here.
I think the rolling stock would generally have a face either end.
I would've added Great Western Legacy's.
Also T1E2H3's finale was late 2017, when BWBA announced his removal.

I have my own Thomas stories - mainly a Disney version.

Ringo Starr did US dubs in Thomas too.

Is there going to be a Season 2

@Railman1225 3 months ago

39:27 Mentioned this in the original, I believe, but this adaptation was actually made in Dovetail's Train Simulator (sometimes called Railworks, due to that being its original name), hence, the main reason why there are no faces (Trainz is a LOT more accommodating when it comes to faces, especially due to possessing live toggleable features). I doubt you ever will, but if you decide at any point to perhaps revisit this, 4F Productions made a fantastic remake themselves, one which actually does utilize Trainz.
