If trains were alive steam engines could technically be considered a minority.

Don’t forget that the Japanese people in Japan has a major extreme love for Thomas the Tank Engine. Part of Thomas’s Japanese history was mostly due to Japan’s history to railways in-general.

It’s neat that Thomas made a big impact on the internet, because fanmade Thomas content made me get into YouTube in the first place.

“But the story needed a star”
Well Thomas wasn’t originally meant to be the main character. When Britt Alcroft made the TV show, she decided to make Thomas the main character, it wasn’t Awdry’s idea.

It's always the wholesome shows that have the most unhinged fandoms

You have awoken the Thomas fandom

I've been seeing more and more non-fandom creators talking about this very fandom-specific topic and it always just ends up being "it's a baby show and man children like kt for some reason" and its very terrifying and greatly effects our reputation but this wasn't terrible for the most part

Ironic how Mattel is worried about people ruining Thomas's brand image....

14:02 "harmless" would a little bit of an understatement, he may not literally kill you, but he did say "YOU'RE TOO FAT, YOU NEED EXERCISE!" to Henry that one time when Henry was having organ failure

I was surprised to see a non-Thomas centered channel to actually cover the fandom, colour me surprised!
Thomas is such a small niche that it’s rare to find content aside from official things and fandom-based stuff.

Especially because of the fact that people automatically label the franchise as ‘for kids’ without diving deep to see how hard the lore goes (in the books mostly).
This video was so well-done!

Henry got let out of the tunnel in "Edward, Gordon and Henry".

Thomas fans are the most talented people on earth. From being masters of model making to being good story tellers. They have inspired me in so many ways

Britt Alcroft: I'm gonna make a show about his books about talking trains for Awdry, and Thomas will be the main star.
The internet: We're gonna ruin his image!

Just when I thought the internet horror section ended, I was thinking “Bro really forgot about Shed 17”

Then he said “A certain 36 minute documentary”

I knew exactly what he was referring to after he said “minute”

It is generally sweet to see people passionate for two sides of this engine one who care to recreate the original tv Series and others who like to parody it all the time I am all here for this and I love this franchise it meant many to me and many to millions

Ngl, i was kinda expecting a clunky, partially wrong retelling of the origins of the series. As a thomas fan, you did a really good job! Well done!

Thomas must be an acquired taste. I loved the model series as a kid, and still find it nostalgic. However, I get why non-fans might find the characters creepy (the immobile faces and rotating eyes etc.)
