W reaction, thanks for the shoutout !

Sees “Defy Media” instant Vietnam flashbacks

It totally doesn’t surprise me how much you were mentioned in this video; you were probably one of Defy’s most vocal critics after the shutdown. Iconic!

They should make a movie about the whole Defy situation, and Lasercorn should play Lasercorn in the movie.

All my homies HATE Defy

"And I feel we really accomplished that. Making giggles for 8 year olds."

“Luckily I’m really petty.”
As someone who rewatched Maricraft recently, that’s a big NO DUH. Still, that’s why we worshipped King Lasercorn of Lasercornia. Never stop being petty, Lasercorn! XD

😂oh wow so Shayne portrayal really is 100% accurate to that scumbag, it's uncanny

The biggest disappointment is that Defy doesn't have a physical grave for us to spit on.

Have you seen Shayne's impersonation of the Defy CEO? It's apparently accurate enough that Ian figured out the bit before Shayne even started speaking just based on the way his shirt was tucked 😂

Man I miss Smosh Games, I miss Lasercorn :(

Man the end of the video where you guys talked about the happy ending for Warp Zone made me a little emotional. You gotta love an underdog story, especially when it includes other creators coming together to help them back up after being beaten by such a pure evil like Defy Media

Being the meat in a Warp Zone and Matpat sandwich is not a bad place to be

Wait...the way Defy was run....sounds an awful lot like....how a pimp works......

The amount of time he could've mentioned clevver games but just didn't felt hilariously targeted in a way, especially when they were listing all the clevver channels

Happy to answer any questions in comments.

Hate is good sometimes

So glad to see more light shone on Defy… and sadly there’s probably still companies like them out there today.

This video was so good! I definitely remember when Defy Media went bankrupt. It's fine to hate things sometimes. You always make awesome videos, it's fun hearing your thoughts about stuff.

I mean, did they ever have to answer for their crimes?! Yes i say crimes cause you can’t just take money, go out of business, and not own up to why you went bankrupt and not pay what you owe!

The only decent parts of Defy Media were the different opportunities that they could get a hold of for the crew (Shigeru Miyamoto on Smosh Games was a highlight). However stealing money, using the Smosh brand to generate money (The Smosh Food Battle game, Smosh The Movie and Smosh Alliance) was distasteful and dishonest towards the Smosh crew. Sorry in advance but in my opinion Smosh and Smosh Games felt like it lost its identity. Smosh had a sort of formula for later videos (every blank ever for example) while we had a variety of different videos that weren't sequels or the same formula. Smosh Games used to have gametime with Smosh which was just Ian and Anthony messing around playing a game while having fun. Game Bang was my favourite thing and then Defy Media not only made it a multi part thing near the end which defeated the purpose of each game at the end having a punishment, but they also got rid of the iconic intro. I know there were more members but they should've updated it instead of replacing it. Thank you for the video Lasercorn and I have one question, would you ever do a one time Game Bang, playing a classic game or something with the original Game Bang crew?
