VW Been tapping up Dong Yang for parts again ?

Always amazed by your engine skills how you don’t have millions of views weekly is beyond me

The best option - by far - is to rebore your block, oversize pistons and polish/regrind the crank. Put together with new shells, rod bolts and gaskets and it'll be a good engine. Pretty much like a new one.
£500 for another shagged engine is not really the way to go. You'll get it apart and it will need work. Waste of time.

Rebuilding the engine is definitively more interesting than just buying a second hand engine

Yours is the channel to watch. Love these in depth strip downs on the smaller engines. Cheers 🍻

This in-depth format is why I stayed and subscribed, keep it up!

You are living the dream! I'd love to spend my days in a workshop tinkering with engines

Its much more fun to see these rebuilds than just engine swaps. Keep up the good work and don't get scammed.

There's plenty of salvage rebuild vloggers on YT but you sir are one of the best....😁

Yet another no nonsense video, please keep them coming.

There is WAY too much plastic in modern engines!
Good job though 👍

you seem at your happiest stripping and building engines back up, you can even hear it in your voice mr happy chappie

You could always build one standard with the bottom end from subscriber,
Then build a monster of an engine from your block that needs rebore rods pistons crank, head work larger turbo injectors and fuel pump

This and the last video have been so interesting! I have a MK7 R 3 door manual and its been weird seeing you strip down yours and seeing what they look like that taken apart.
Your videos are brilliant 😃😃

Totally agree with you Dean. Your channel is called "Saving Salvage" not "The engine swap channel." Keep up the great content!

Dean seriously . . .

You're not having any luck with these two engines.

Anyone else would just say b#llocks to it and throw the lot in the bin.

As always you keep going and then find a solution to find a way to put it right.

The trouble is that because of emission rules and regulations throughout the world engines have become too technical and also too bloody temperamental.

The slightest thing out either mechanical or electrical and your engine is toast today.

Anyway  . . .

Great content Dean as always and 🤞 that it come good in the end.

We will be here watching.

Two engines out of one, nah not possible 😂.

Love watching all the engine strip downs and re-builds  would terrify me having all those bits of engine lying around i would never remember where everything went back  Good luck with the re-build

Like the in depth and also the engine rebuild. Thx

Just subscribed to your channel after watching the first part.  Very in depth and informative, keep them coming!
