I Finally Found the Bird I Missed! 🐦 | My Big Year
Another big day chasing rare birds for my 2026 Big Year!
I head to West Sussex in search of a Pallid Harrier, before travelling to Wales for a second attempt at a bird that got away from me the week before — Baird’s Sandpiper.
After missing it previously, can I finally track it down and add it to my Big Year?
I then head down to Dorset to finish the trip with some seawatching, hoping the conditions might produce something exciting out at sea.
Another few hundred miles, several rare bird missions and plenty of time behind the bins — all in the ongoing challenge to see how many species I can find during my 2026 Big Year.
