I moto camp to get away from people and experience the natural world.  All of the Motorcycle Travel Channel videos are great, but this video strongly resonated with me.  The views were gorgeous.  There is so much wonder within the United States that I don't feel the need to travel abroad.

For those in the comments asking, the bike Sterling is riding is a 2020 Husqvarna 701 Enduro Long Range. It’s a limited edition backcountry travel model that was produced for one year only.

It comes with two fuel tanks (front & rear) with two fuel pumps and a switch on the handlebar that controls which fuel tank the engine is feeding off of. If you do a lot of riding in dusty areas, that switch can get packed with dirt and cause intermittent fueling issues  like you see here. Cleaning out that switch will solve the issue and replacing it with a better sealed design will prevent it entirely.

I’ve had my 701 LR since new and its been  an amazing BDR bike. It weighs 383lbs wet, produces 74hp, and gets 370 miles between fill ups. There’s still nothing else on the market like it.

What a magnificent place. I am 47 and barely getting into ADV. I am an experienced rider (been riding on the street for 35 years), and offroad about 10 years on dirt bikes. I cannot WAIT to see some things like this in the coming year. Your channel is an inspiration.

Sterling, the next best thing to actually doing the same journeys that you do,  is watching and listening to the fantastic journeys that you have and appreciating what it must take to reproduce them in a way that brings the sense of adventure to us. Thanks, brother.....

I have lived in southern Utah for almost 20 years now and still gets blown away by these magnificent landscapes whenever I wander about on my motorcycle. That these landscapes are mostly on public land and freely accessable to everyone is truly special. I grew up in South Africa, and while there are an abundance of scenic landscapes there, it is mostly fenced in and private and thus difficult or expensive to gain any access. People here tend to take this access for granted, but there are not many places left in the world where it is like this. The current push from senator Mike Lee to sell off large portions of our public lands to private investors needs to be strongly opposed.

A side note: I did the AZBR in May and stayed at your motel in Bisbee the night before heading out on section 1. It was my first BDR and I will always remember your motel as the jumping off point to my BDR adventures. I have now also completed the UTBDR and I am looking forward to many more.

Wonderful video.  I have ridden to this location.  It is one of the most inspiring locations of natural beauty I've ever seen.  Awe inspiring for sure.

Fuel pump or filter problem?  Great video, enjoyed it!

The starting issue is Vapor lock, the outside temp is hot ..when you stop the exhaust and the engine temp, make the liquid turn to vapour in the gas line ,
To fix this , put a sleeve over the fuel line from tank , also wrap the exhaust .

For Huskys to be such great bikes they’ve always been plagued with little annoying issues. Excellent video!

How do you get food contamination and food poisoning? Put your food directly onto a stump, and use your fingers to scrap out your food instead of using a board and a spoon, respectively.
