What’s it really like to travel Tunisia in a Campervan or Motorhome?
We found incredible landscapes, from the beaches to the desert, ancient ruins, vibrant cities, and some of the most genuinely welcoming people we’ve come across anywhere.
But travelling here in a campervan is a bit different to what we’re used to in Europe… and that took a bit of adjusting to.
We’ve just spent almost eight weeks travelling around Tunisia in our campervan, and this is a behind the scenes look at what it's REALLY like day to day.

Thanks so much for taking me vicariously to Tunisia. What an amazing country. The people were fabulous, the food scenarios interesting, to say the least. Some of those meals looked amazing. The whole experience was so positive, for the most part and a bonus that it is so affordable. Butter shortages in Tunisia are primarily caused by a struggling dairy sector, severe drought, and economic instability leading to limited imports. Rising fodder costs have driven farmers to sell cows, resulting in low milk production, exhausted reserves, and frequent rationing of dairy products in supermarkets
I was intrigued about the butter situation as my town of Cobden is where Western Star Butter is made! 🧈
Apparently it’s been a long term struggle
I must have missed the Star Wars locations!

Brilliant summary guys, you two really get that folks will find your information useful and encouraging. Its nice to see the van holding up to all the rough roads and sandy environment. Have you checked your air filters since you returned to Italy? The comments about the composting toilet is, I think, one of the super important points. I'm really bowled over by the creativity and beauty of the camping spot with the mosaics. Kudos to that artist! A shame about the birds as having birds near a cooking area doesn't seem like a good bet when avian flu is jumping to humans... Otherwise looks like an amazing place! Thanks for demystifying Tunisia a bit.
