[What are everyone's TV memories?]
The TV you begged your parents to let you watch while crying as a child.
The TV you excitedly waited for to air when you fell in love with an idol during your adolescence.
Television also taught you the steps to becoming an adult.
What was Japanese television like when it turned 70 in 2023? We believe the best way to express this is by collecting "everyone's individual memories of television." Ideally, these memories should include those of both the creators and the viewers!
This project aims to preserve the memories of hundreds of thousands, even millions, of television programs produced in post-war Japan, through its period of rapid growth, stability, and stagnation.
It's a project to pass on the meaning of "what people created moved people's hearts" as collective knowledge to future generations.
