Jerry Goldsmith bringing tha FUNK!

I totally forgot commodore Decker was the president :-)

Kim Hunter is simply amazing in her performance.

In this film series, chimpanzees are vegetarians, if not vegans.
Cornelius wasn't upset about oranges but about his child being called a little monkey.

This and the next are my favorite of the sequels.

Once again it’s so awesome to see you continue in the classic series… as it is such a rare thing to see!

No apologies needed. This movie is supposed to be a heartbreaking tragedy.😢

From Hell's heart, the first chimpanzee EVER to be born in a circus stabs at thee!

If dumb dumb didnt kill then the future would have been changed. He was the instrument of human destruction.

"Mama" from the baby chimp echoes the talking doll from the first

THIS is one reason why time-travel is not half so useful as people seem to think it will be.  The paranoid man brought about EXACTLY the scenario he was trying to avoid.

one of the saddest endings in science fiction. it’s still hard to watch 50 years later

I knew 12 minutes in you were gonna be crushed by the ending.  Despite the tragedy, this one and the first one really have the satirical social criticisms down!  Great sequel, glad you watched it!

Milo's sudden death was written into the story because the actor was beside himself with claustrophobic panic while wearing that ape makeup.

The word you were looking for to describe how Cornelius's way of walking was Gait

This was the big time loop story before "The Terminator."

This one traumatised me as a kid..... it's still very upsetting almost 50yrs later. It's very much a product of that time.

So glad Roddy Mcdowall came back for this one, him an Kim Hunter were so good together.
This one tied the whole story together about the plague on cats and dogs and Aldo saying no.

Eric Braeden (Dr. Hasslein) in this film, plays a "good guy" in a very excellent film called "Colossus: The Forbin Project" from 1970.  It is a sci-fi film about super computers, and I really think you would like it.

I really appreciate the reaction from someone who truly enjoys the Sci-Fi genre.  I'm loving all your reactions to the Planet of the Apes original series.  I've seen all the films many, many times (I'm not giving any spoilers) but your observations have made me see things that I missed before.  Thank you!!
