My dad, Australian to the core. Biggest Virat Kohli fan… This man is cricket.

“He was judged against himself”. These are golden words. He set the standards so high. He was just just too good for himself

I get the logical part of him retiring, but it still hurts to see his back in Tests. He single handedly made Test relevant to me

England supporter, Kholi fan! Virat was a must watch for any cricket lover, pure theatre and passion.

Kohli has an aura, something that very few sportsmen have. The fact Viv Richards speaks about him so fondly says it all. I'd hate to be trapped in a lift with him, but he's an immense character.

The most influential test cricketer has retired !!!
The GOAT 🐐

People will look back on Kohli average and amount of runs and think Kohli isn't great in tests.  But his dominating series in England, Australia, and South Africa is something batters don't achieve even in 1 of those countries in a career never mind all 3 in a career.

He made test cricket must see through his intensity and antics whilst fielding, his aggressive and desire to win as captain, and his ability to play quick bowling and put pressure on the opposition with thet bat. This for me makes him a test match great.

An iconic cricketer who will be talked about for generations to come. Truly blessed to have followed his career and witnessed him played.

The 2010s will be known as the Kohli era.

Enjoy retirement.....

I’m a big Williamson fan, but Kohli is the best all format batsmen out of the big 4 by some distance. Worldclass in tests, goat in ODIs and outstanding in t20.

Kohli was the main reason why people in India still watched test cricket. In his captaincy, his theatrics and his pure drive for test cricket, he made a nation that was drifting to T20s watch every session of a test

The white lost its colour.. forever a legend...VK18😢🫡🫡

That's an interesting take when Jarrod mentioned Virat as an example of "frangus nonflectus". That very much suits him -- he played on his own terms and ruled when he was at his peak, unfortunately that didn't continue further. Jarrod also mentioned that Kohli tried bending cricket in his way, was surprised at his dismissals comparing those bowlers to mortals. That was damn good elevation! He reached that level though. Certainly, Virat has been that fierce force -- he changed the perception of Tests completely in the era of T20s. That man is built different -- he built himself different. Everyone wishes he would have stayed longer but man, what a career! No doubt the greatest batter and test captain of the generation. He kept trying, he failed and when he felt it is not possible to bend things anymore, he retired on his terms. No matter what different media sections write, this has been my perception. He was once unstoppable to the zenith, but as every human, he had his own challenges and weaknesses.👑

This video is the best description of the great Virat Kohli, the Showstopper, the icon of world cricket 👌👌

VIRAT KOHLI IS BY FAR THE  "CRICKETER OF THIS GENERATION" 👑🐐🙌. BEST ALL FORMAT BATTER THAT EVER EXISTED 🐐🙌. HE IS MUCH MORE THAN THE NUMBERS, THE PASSION FOR THE SPORT IS SECOND TO NONE , THE INTENSITY, THE ENERGY, THE CHARISMA , THE AURA EVERYTHING WILL BE MISSED 💔😭😭. HE IS BIGGEST BRAND THAT CRICKET HAS EVER HAD 🙌✨👑

Warne - " we should all thank Kohli for what he's done for Test cricket"
Nasser Hussain - "Test cricket is better when Virat Kohli is playing"

Excellent summary encapsulating Kohli as well as anyone can. We’ll never see anyone like him again.

An appropriate tribute to the legend. Thanks for the video.

I started watching test cricket when he started captaining the Indian test side and I stopped watching test cricket when he retired. I’m one of millions.

Happy retirement King Kohli...I choosed you as my hero in 2012 and you did not let down my choice...🎉🎉🎉

Your last sentence broke me Jarrod ! Everything you said is true but for us in India he is an emotion we will never get over

Best Test captain ever
Because he built the team on his own
