I love these kind of videos. Just a man with a pot cooking delicious food while telling me about about the ingredients. It's like I'm right there with him

Jamie, Your books and videos have fed me and everyone that comes over (not so many visitors nowadays). The best ideas for people in my situation (poor people, just admit it). So, thanks for everything over the years. Don't stop or anything. I haven't. Not quite yet. I need to eat more greens. The cruciferous bitter but healthy stuff that I know now is essential. Soup is the way I will try to get a healthy start. Beans I love and ham hock is fantastic.

You just can’t beat straight forward hearty basic food like this the hart and soul of old times, I remember when my mother used to make this for the family in the winter months.

How blessed to have a market garden...yummy

Still going strong 💪James.👍💯

Yum Yum Yummy Yum Yum,,@52 yrs old, this reminds me of hog killing days on my grandparents farm in the dead of winter (it was 18 to 25 degrees)(maybe colder) & this was what we had alot of...hamhocks, along w all the cuts from the hogs. My job was sasauge & crackling, but this is where my love of & for ham came to be...
Just delicious & l still love 'em right now.

Awesome video! That certainly brought back memories. My grandmother always had smoked ham hocks. My grandfather would raise 3 pigs a year. She  always cooked with barley as well. She would put a few more potatoes and parsnips in too. And hot peppers. Looked a lot like yours. Great recipe. Best!

Love ham hocks in my fresh pots of beans 😊 I grew up to my Grandma making her beans like that ❤

This is the perfect example of the warming up video for the early spring, absolutely!
There is the additive that Jamie Oliver is the champion in the Tasting Meals Discipline. And today Il Maestro has taken a record! It's a top! At the final he is dancing with the steamy dish so long time not as usual. It was the cozy, warm and delicious denouement of the work!
Thank You very very much, Chef!

This is such a delightful video to watch, so much calmness, joy and gratitude… I saw this on TV (on the Jamie Oliver channel) and had to come to YouTube and find it - to show it to my husband and kids, they will love it!

Uhhhm a delicious soup!
Love the details you show us within the vegetables. ❤

You brought me such joy today with your passion in creating this broth.  I found myself smiling at your delightful expressions with the descriptions of the deliciousness and healthfulness of this lovely meal! You truly inspired me to make a similar version today. Thank you

I love winter cooking! Love this video!!!!

Great hearing Jamie - its been long time since I have seen him.

Jamie does not waste anything, that why I like watching him from time, you see if that was my brother who is a chef’s everything would be in the bin.  Jamie love your garden, I have an allotment. ❤❤❤

Brilliant rustic meal

Jamie is the best chef ever followed him from his days on the scooter going to the Market . And entertaining. His friends . And his now. Wife . Brillient  cook . ❤

The best home, garden and food architecture❤

O yes , Ham Hock really delicious especially smoked. This soup looks so healthy and  flavoursome. Although we will probably cook ours in a kitchen, your setting is fantastic.  Maybe some day .
We also make it with borlotti beans soaked overnight and then cooked with smoked Ham Hock and few root veggies.
What can I say 😋 .

Hell yes, craving something like this!
