Can you imagine a kid running up to Superman and giving him a hug in the Snyderverse? Because I can't.
If I try really hard, I can picture a really awkward scene where Superman doesn't know how to react. Then finding out too late that the child is actually a suicide bomber.
“This movie was made by dumb people for dumb people to make them think they are smart.” - Jack Packard. An excellent summary of the "event" BvS has turned into. People is defending a half-cooked pop corn flick as if it were the Citizen Kane of the Superheroe genre.
I think the reason I didn't get caught off-guard by him smashing the predator drone at the end is because he'd already destroyed the city. We already know he's an arsehole who doesn't care about collateral damage. It actually made sense, by that point, that he'd respond so violently.
What DOESN'T make sense, is that we're told he's meant to be a hero.
Guys. Superman isn't Superman. He's Doctor Manhattan. Batman is Rorschach, Lex is Ozymandias; Snyder made Watchmen. Again. With the characters that story was criticizing. Fuck this movie.
