" Light-Hearted"
I just started and he's already doomed.

24:25 Ignorance is bliss, at this point D-16 is regretting even knowing because he's so angry, probably more angry and disappointed than he has ever been in his life, dude worshiped Sentinel, put all his trust in him, only to know Sentinel killed his Idol, and lied to his face.

He's processing everything he's learned, and is doing so in the worst way possible, he wants to kill sentinel and became erratic to the point he became hostile towards Orion, he's acting while processing instead of processing then acting.

Elita and Arcee are not the same character. Elita was Optimus love interest, while Arcee is her own independent bot.

Arcee is actually in this film. She's the miner bot who shouted, "Miners! There are miners like us!" during the race.

“All are one” is a reference to the classic transformers line “till all are one” The meaning differs from series to series but generally refers to all cybertronians becoming one with primus after death

This movie deserves more love

I love how Orion gets down on the miner's level to talk to them.

D-16's fight happy nature makes a bit more sense when you realise that the T-cog does not pick their transformation for them. As Alpha Trion said, he merely unlocked what they were already supposed to have. D-16, is a tank. Which implies he was supposed to be a Warrior, had it not been for Sentinel reducing him to a mere miner.

Elita-1 is her own character. She's actually from the 2nd season of G1 where Arcee first appears in the '86 Movie.

Fun fact: Elita-1 was once Optimus Prime's girlfriend

The class system in the IDW comics is much more sinister. The Cybertronian senate was already corrupt, but there's a faction called the Functionist which is basically hardcore "if your alt mode is x then you're only allowed to do x, no a to w, no y no z". One character managed to change jobs but they kept screwing him over by basically making him pay protection money and got his place of business ruined, so he turned to crime. When he got caught, his punishment was having his face and hands removed (which also added another layer of insidiousness bc the procedure almost always performed on Cybertronians who were born with their bodies already made for them, instead of letting protoform morph around their sparks), so they end up being like cyclop robots with pincer hands, rendering him unable to even go back to that job he wanted to do.

Brian Tyree Henry really out did himself with his incredible performance and his deep understanding of Megatron since always wanted to play the villains. Every villain is a hero of his and her own Story.

D-16 is not only a product of Cybertron’s corrupted system and takes on Sentinel Prime’s oppression though violent means all the social injustices he had experiences forged his transcendence into Megatron and building up to a rivalry with Orion turned Optimus Prime (due to wanting the same goal of a unified Cybertron but have different viewpoints).

But their friendship is doomed since they discovered that shocking realization their leader Sentinel Prime had sold out Cybertron to the Quintessons after betraying his fellow Prime brothers and sisters, and ruled his planet through oppression. D-16 has put too much faith in the system he has held on to until his worldview was shattered that boils up to anger and a personal vengeance after being suffered of the social injustices while Orion still kept his optimism by exposing the truth of Sentinel's corruption.

This what makes D-16 a much more of a compelling hero-turned-villain and tragic character in Transformers history. And the rift between two brothers. Both D-16 and Orion really wanted a unified Cybertron but each have different ways to bringing it into fruition.

D-16 grab his hand. Megatron let him go.

15:04 I did not notice that A A-Atron , A-Aron ting hilarious 😂😂😂

"Why should we Follow you"
"We will follow you" has to be the funniest line in this movie 😆

Ngl, kinda refreshing to see another take on Orion stopping D-16 from killing Sentinel. Everyone I’ve seen is asking why Orion was trying to stop him, but he just wanted his friend back😔😔😔

Fun fact: Alpha Trion, robot who reveals the truth about Sentinel Prime, is voiced by no other than Laurence Fishburne, same actor who plays Morpheus in matrix, once more time telling another people they're living in a lie

the voice actor for Megatron is Bryan Tyree Henry. He played Lemon in Bullet Train.

the fact that the opening monologue with primus is literally the toy of the galaxy force primus that turns himself into cybertron

Alpha trion was watching Megatron go off like “this boy low key spitting and I’m here for it “

Arcee was in several scenes throughout the movie. She was in the audience for the Iocon 5000 race 10:32, and when Orion Pax gave his speech before the fight, she was right there in the front, 33:46.

"Why'd you bring Jetpacks?"
