Best info on world rollercoaster deaths annually I find is ~1/750 million rides, and it says the majority of those is not from malfunctions, but rather because of things like pre-existing heart conditions.

SPOILERS!!

The game had an interesting idea. The horror of how trauma can create emotional numbness, how we can choose emotional numbness as a coping mechanism, and how emotional numbness creates social distance that can seem disturbing. In the game, the main character is traumatized by his father's disappearance and choice of the amusement park over his family. At first, he says he'll do anything to get his father back, but is told he won't survive the journey unless he becomes emotionless. The emotionless state is reinforced by the danger of the monster, until the state of numbness becomes normal. By the time he finds his dad, he is completely numb - not because of danger, but because of habit. Without emotion to create meaning, he kills his father, forgetting that what he wanted at the beginning of the journey was to rescue his father in order to have him back in his life. Cool concept, but not sure it stuck  the landing.

Oh, also, really cool juxtaposition of the rides at the beginning vs the journey to his dad. The amusement park rides forcefully create an emotional response like excitement, surprise, happiness, joy, fear, anxiety, etc. However, in the journey to find his father, when he has to forcefully suppress his emotion to survive. I maybe would have liked to see the main character have voice lines reacting to the rides at the beginning, and then at the end have the main character return to the rides, and maybe comment on they can't feel any joy or excitement.

This whole plotline gives the 1979 Sydney Ghost Train fire (Luna Park in Australia)

Crazy. I'm just the opposite.  I love peaches,  but despise peach flavored anything.

18:43 we dont get people saying stop in general in the UK,  we have people who work there going round and spinning you during the ride! 😂

Jim's theme.  Song in treasure planet by googoo dolls. One of my all time favorites

everyone wants to sit at the back of a roller coaster until they catch a puker

as a german, this was sooo funny, gj insym :D

Peaches you get from the grocery store have horrible texture, if you eat them fresh they're the best fruit in the world, hands down

Insym's content is great. Its also relaxing to sleep to lol

Thanks for improving my morning with your video 😁

The "ship" is called Ocean Motion, and it's fucking awesome. U had to have ridden when u were  little to get the full experience,  you basically have no actual restraint except a big ass long lap bar that come down only so far. So if youre still little but "tall enough" it was a fucking blast, and the chances of you actually falling out were pretty high. What a time to be alive 😂  cedar point is where im referring to btws

7:42 It’s kinda like liking Ketchup, but not a Tomato

Science Direct notes: "The CPSC has stated it is “aware of” 22 fatalities involving amusement rides, excluding waterparks or waterslides, since 2010 (Karimi, 2018), comparable to an average of 2 to 3 per year." as a global figure.

I recommend you play AILA
