Im glad you were inspired by something that myself, and many others had the honour of playing a part in. The pacing of the medium-form format is concise, and a good blend of personal and informational. For a first video, you already have a solid grasp on the essentials, I hope you will continue on this path and do proud by those who helped you, and most importantly, yourself.

beautiful video, it made me so happy to see this. thank you for watching!!!!!

had the biggest smile on my face the whole entire time i watched this. thank you so much for enjoying balloon smp. it genuinely makes me so happy to hear that it captured the hearts and imaginations of folks so much that even a year later there's still discussion, and still people experiencing it for the first time.

and also thank you for seeing the vision with yoda. it always makes me happy when people are able to see past the "bit" part of the character and acknowledge that, yes, in spite of the ostensibly silly idea, there is some genuine depth there. it feels almost like a microcosm of the "hardcore minecraft rp" format, where even if so much of it can be goofy, there's so much beyond that with the level of stakes and drama that the format lends itself to, and that's still only really scratching the surface.

i actually wasn't even initially going to show up as yoda, but i had previously shown up to a one-off minecraft hardcore stream socks did a couple months earlier with the yoda player model on, and on the eve of balloon smp, skull asked "is will gonna show up as yoda?" and the rest was history

incredible work on the video, seriously great stuff for a first attempt and i look forward to whatever works you put out in the future!! i have a very good feeling you've got a bright future ahead of you!!

tear shed smile wide. beautiful

Balloon SMP means a lot to me. Thanks so much for making this video!

Thanks to my friend Shelly & my fellow stagehands for setting the stage.
Thank you to the over 30 amazingly entertaining players who made that stage a home.
And thanks to all the amazing fans who made, and continue to make such cool fan art!

Although I miss balloon dearly, it's never truly gone so long as the world's heart yet beats!

Yooooo this rules!!! I second what Normie said, this is like. Extremely touching and you did a very good job. I hope you keep making videos, you already have a knack for it :)
Also the other members of the dev team were:
Morphimus(various models and sounds) / Celinetheyeen(a lot of bookkeeping and managing of designs) / Big Snort(the globber and various concept arts + cutting room floor stuff) / Radi8on(da music) /Malaisese(The cover image and the alcohol sprites) and me (da GMing, coding, etc)
If you ever wanna know more about the behind the scenes side of making this beautiful thing possible I'm always free to talk!
Also shoutouts to all da players for sharing this wonderful moment
-Shelly

so... i just binged all of woops' videos and damn.

being basically entirely a Woops POV viewer through this is crazy, my man was straight chilling half the time and/or getting up to silly shit until the plot randomly came knocking on his door and he had to lock in, also seeing him be one of the few characters in the SMP able to be a grown adult about things(and like the only one on his team lmfao) was absolute cinema every time

i've been watching since Woops and Skull first started posting their videos, and honestly i'm gonna be kinda sad when Woops' series finally ends. it's been a hell of an experience and i'll probably binge it all once the finale's out.

this absolutely rules, shout out to kuu pov

BALLOONSMP VIDEO ESSAY HOLY SHIT THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS OF ALL TIME 😭

May we never forget the Robby Incident

I watched this video a few days ago.
Since then I have binged all of Woops' BalloonSMP playlist so far, so saying I got "carried away" might be accurate. Team A's chemistry is just the chemical formula for methamphetamine, there's no other way to describe them other than that, one peek at their group and you are HOOKED.

I have not really had any prior knowledge of any of the creators on the server save for Alfred, Heavenly, and Berd (you said Berd never logged on, but idk if I've ever seen Heavenly on either, at least from Woops' PoV), so I think not knowing them made their performances and arcs all that more impactful. (Though, I am still unsure if Beepers is just role-playing being that easily distracted and whimsical, or if he is always like that lmfao)

I recall watching Balloon SMP  through Robby's perspective the most. Team F's whole story felt the most removed from things as it took a day longer just for outside contact to be made- right after losing half their team to blunders and falls; all while being accosted by the lesser known aspects that had to be removed as it fucked with him alone; leading to a culture shock upon meeting other teams. The desire for connection while also wanting  no part in the world's affairs, clinging to his team until even they show to want more then what they were given. I wanted Robby to be happy and cool off rather then crumble and disappear like he so wished when the chips were down. Seeing the others' perspectives will always feel new to me because of it.

This SMP and Royal Royale are the only Minecraft SMPs I’ve ever watched so idk how they usually go but the multiple perspectives, the limited timeframe, the mystery, the relationship dynamics, they’re all so amazing. I learned to edit videos just to make clips and compilations for my own amusement and to share with friends. Found my favorite group of streamers (basically Bonetown TTT) through this SMP. It was also a significant source of comfort during college so yeah, thank you to the players and devs that helped make Balloon SMP possible. Thank you Skull’s and Kuu’s POVs. And thank you for making this video!
Also miIkpal’s Act 1 and Act 2 PMVs are the best. It’s been over a year and I can never listen to Planetary GO! without thinking of this.

the first bsmp essay is here... good stuff

This SMP legitimately has been a life changing thing for me, I watched Skull's perspective whenever it was live and that was just so amazing, going around after it was done and watching through full catalogs of other perspectives, other full that happened even within the same team,

During my first watch with Skull I remember just seeing Woops and wondering what could've possibly happened with him and how it reflected on his character, seeing Buggle and wondering what he was doing, the mysterious Soma and his different Saiyan forms, and then seeing the other teams and wondering what the other players were even like, much more the stories you could see in them!!

I remember seeing Sophiesteak in awe at every step through the month because of their character models and how it changed so often, same with Ausk, Beepers, Kaoiji, Arch as Gandalf, KuuEater, and Renobee. Literally everybody reflected stories and events that they went through. The artistry and storytelling was just so immaculate and despite all the time that's passed I don't know everything and probably never will, which is just amazing to me at how much there really was in this event, an event with no main characters, where one character's story could be an entire essay.

I loved it, and I give nothing but praise to all the people who participated in the event, it got me through a really rough time, and it's still so important to me.
Thank you Balloon SMP :]

man this made me cry. balloon smp holds such a dear place in my heart and this video really captures how i and many others feel abt it. 10/10 no notes

Balloon will always hold a special place in my heart. Because of this I went on to join a smp of my own and made some of the best friends I have ever had and now over a year later I'm still friends with most of them.

Balloon was such a good showcase of a huge group of some of the nicest, funniest, most creative people on twitch. Thank you so much for making a video like this!
