This is so awesome, Athena P.

To say we're humbled that you did this would be an understatement. Seriously, we're slack-jawed at the amount of research you do for your episodes and your deep dive into ours is incredible. Kudos to you for reaching high, thinking big, working hard, and having fun!

Low key - kinda want a part II where you go into the songs ... :)

There actually is an interview Scott did that explained that Knit Knots never appeared again since he didn't test well with kids who, ironically, found him boring.

For me, one thing I admire about the show is how through Mr. Knit Knot they teach about how to be inclusive towards those that may act different or have different tastes than you. In any other show, he would have been an annoying antagonist that would constantly whine about how loud the band is and the band would try to make his life worse by being more obnoxious. But I like how the Imagination Movers often adapt and accept that Mr. Knit Knot is who he is and even made him a song that's suited for him. It's subtle but again it's an element of inclusion that teaches kids that people are different and rather than antagonize them for it they should be accepted and welcomed.

Mr. Knit Knots has stuck with me all of these years later. A beige icon. He knows what he likes and he's not ashamed of it.

I met the movers at a concert back when I was like, 8 years old...they were so silly and sweet! One moment sticks out to me, they were all signing my shirt and rich kept pretending to draw all over me with the sharpie since I was turned around and couldn't see him, lol. They say never meet your heroes, but honestly, even 12 years later that is still one of my favorite concert experiences ever

I loved this show as a kid, my headcanon was always that the warehouse was some sort of tardis-like regular warehouse on the outside infinite space on the inside paranormal whatever and that every time they “made” a new room they were actually just opening a new portal to the respective room’s pocket dimension

I’m so happy that this show is getting the recognition it deserves. It was my favorite show for years and it seems like people don’t talk about it often. It’s so underrated.

The thing about lacking a compassionate male role model in childhood is so real. I think that's part of why I loved this show too as a kid. They all seem like genuinely kind people outside of the show as well

"Twitter stans make me sick" Athena early 2023 "I've became a twitter stan" Athena later 2023

I’d kill to see Athena make a lore video of The Upside-down Show. It only has one season, but there is so much they could dissect with it.

I still remember really liking the episode with Knit Knots' cousin who couldn't speak English. Also Scott is peak goofy masculinity

I was older than the targeted age demographic for Imagination Movers but I heard Favorite Snack in high school and my friends and I were hooked. "WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE SNACK?! I SAID WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE SNACK?!" still lives in my head rent-free

My childhood right here! Been rewatching it myself and the lore is just… unhinged. No hinges. Amazing.
Edit: Also YES Knitknots was so iconic. I loved him sm.

This show (and pretty much everything during the Playhouse Disney era) feels like a fever dream to me because I was REALLY young when I watched it. Had a fun time unlocking some core memories.

Welp, this isn't the first time that Athena got noticed by a social media account of a show covered in the Lore series.

gonna watch this 25k times for the fresh beat band lore just you wait 🤺

@Staruo356 2 years ago

Something I remember about the Imagination Movers was this Disney website flash game where you could make your own "ideas" (basically a little item showcase) to put into a public brainstorm for other players to see

22:26 I love how this part doesn't have someone going "Scott, I think that IS Smitty." It was HIM who asked him self "It IS Smitty?"

@poweroffriendship2.0 2 years ago

Imagination Movers is such a classical jam in my childhood, and their theme song proves that they have no business of making it catchier that gives every boy bands a run of their money.

And I still never forget about Warehouse Mouse. He's my spirit animal.

Ok but the odorless perfume is genius though

Imagine a smell-masking perfume that doesnt smell like anything. You're just completely smell-less.

Sure, you don't smell nice but you also don't smell bad. I'd actually love this product
