I uploaded 10 AI-generated songs across 5 different music distributors using real accounts, real releases, and fully disclosed AI music to see what actually happens behind the scenes.

Some companies publicly support AI music. Others have announced restrictions or outright bans. But what happens when your AI-generated song actually reaches their review team?

Thanx 🤘🏼I’ve been on the fence about releasing my music & what distribution company would be best suited for my project needs ( Music/ Media Label ) because the landscape & rules keep shifting & changes constantly. I’ve been working creating assets & watching the situation unfold… I’m all for AI transparency & encourage it. I’m hoping a new system will be developed or built to better accommodate the insane amount of AI music that is coming out. We need our own rules / lanes/ labels & payment schemes to help avoid conflict/ confusion & general AI hate. By 2030 this will happen, AI is here to stay, we just all have to work together to figure out a respectful way to make it pay & create our own economic systems. So thanks I’m a big fan of the ONCE idea & seriously appreciate the feedback 💜🤘🏼

Very informative! I have my 100% human music on Tunecore and my AI or Hybrid music on Distrokid. Zero problems so far. But I’m going to check out Once.

I used cdbaby for a long time. I have all traditional non ai songs with them. Their communication and support is very slow, could take up to 3 weeks to get a response. I'm still generating revenue with them. I like that they include content id on youtube music at no additional cost.

Routenode is a basically free and AI friendly distributor. They take 15% of your earnings, but most AI creators have no earnings - at least when they just begin releasing music - so thats maybe the best/cheapest option to start.

What about YouTube? Since august 2nd youTube is really cracked down on AI. Some are experiencing demonetization and Others are receiving no impressions on ai songs. If you could address this in a video that would be great. Thanks

Once is. Nice, But they seem to double wav files
I have had an album first time i thought i might have messed it up,, i got no help ended up just deleting it. Started over next time made sure it was right and after it was distributed one track was the same as another. It happened again. So i might just go and stay with distokid. But I really like the easiness of once.

Amuse has never rejected my Suno songs. And they continue paying royalties after the subscription ends. But they don't upload AI songs to FB which is a deal killer. And they can detect AI even if not told about it.
