Im growing cordyceps militaris in a jar right now

Awesome video thanks!

Have you tried this method with 1 gallon buckets?

Do you sterilze the empty jar before filling?

Why not remove the cake from the jar after colonising? Would yield far more if you allow it room to pin from the sides too

Does it matter if the substrate is pasteurised or sterilised??

Usually I pour the substrate steight on top of the grain jar and stir the top layer of grain with a fork
And that's it
Some species I grow straight from grain. Like lionsmane

Where did you get those extra tall cylinders from?

This looks incredibly inefficient.. at least use straight jars so it is easy to clean and remove old mycelium

What should be the humidity inside jars of grain in which the mycelium grows after being mixed with a spore suspension? It seems to me that your grains are a little dry. Is it possible to inject sterile water through a syringe? What if you add sugar and vitamins to the water? will this speed up growth?

I noticed you using quart jars in another video. would half quart work?  It seems like a lot of substrate for a small surface area.

how many flushes do you get from each jaar? and how do you maintain the moisture after they grow out of the lid?

also that background music was lovely. credit to the song would be great.
