Lovely manga with a really inspiring message and a bittersweet ending. It's like the clip with the japanese fisherman, "Never Give Up!"

Kadokawa is probably using the contest to get fresh ideas outside of Japan. That way, they can test the idea via the competition and make their Japanese artists do a similar story that will resonate with their audience or, at the very least, make their editors more well-rounded. That's my theory with these contests, but I could be wrong. And they get to be exposed to different artstyles as well... I don't see this being any downside for them, tbh.

I came directly from the "made a manga in 30 days vid"

If THAT was the ending, I wouldn't wish to find out how much more depressing it would have been if you didn't make it sweeter 😭😭😭

This so sad almost made me cry holy cow. I'm so glad you went for a slightly happier ending tho I'm still wrenched in the guts 😭😭😭😭

I love your oneshot manga, the theme was heavy but relatable in a sense, a story about passion, regret, and fear I really love the realism of in all ,as a long time manga reader it was refreshing to see a bittersweet ending
