I wish there was a more modern made break action that wasn't a reproduction.

Love these old big Webleys... very asthetically pleasing.. a huge no nonsense revolver designed to stop the most ferocious foe.

Unmodified, with .455 ammunition, these revolvers are very reliable and eject all the empties just fine, every time.   Great revolvers.  We only need good .455 Ammo sources at better pricing.

Best pistol ever. Now where did I put my roast beef and yorkshire pudding.

personally I have always felt the Webley Mark 6 to be the peak of combat revolver design. powerful (enough) for combat, fast to reload and extremely reliable.

The chamber pressure of each of those Winchester white box .45 acp 230 grain rounds. Is equal to the proof pressure of the webley chamber. Meaning every round you fire is the absolute max pressure that gun can handle without failing. It's just a matter of time before it blows up in your hand. Great guns, never should have been converted.

Any 45 ACP factory ammo is way too dangerous to fire in a Webley. The pressure is much greater. The whole "shaved" concept was a disaster.

It is one of the greatest revolver designs and certainly the best top-break design.

Every Good Englishman knows that a Webley should be fired single hand grip for best accuracy. Great target revolver considering it was designed to be shot instinctively quick fire without aiming, with either hand or on horseback a Old Soldier friend loved them and said he had two and used them in both hands in Korean war when the Chinese came at him. great piece of history you lucky Americans can have for $400 bargain we are stuck in England with memories and deactivated pistols but thanks to loop holes we do have legal pistols in the U.K ( Its a secret don't tell the gun control people)  but they come with super expensive crap attached ,  ( longer barrels and grip extensions that don't come off) police question you hard to justify on license calibre above .22  unless competitive shooter so they are huge and technically a rifle, hard to get but better than nothing, Just wish we had a 2nd amendment to protect our sport in the U.K from the Nanny State

Love how the rubber dummy nods very deliberately when you hit him, like an instructor approving of your performance:  “Yup, you got me good that time.  Nice work, soldier!”

I believe duelist has a video on modifying 45 ACP moonclips to hold 455 webley so as to again be able to reliably fire 455 in a converted webley

It's not that "They took a little too much metal off," it's that a .455 Webley revolver converted to fire .45 ACP in moon clips (alternately .45 Auto Rim) was never intended to work with .455 Webley thereafter.

I used one as a service revolver in 2004 Belize Police Department in 38 s&w.

Revolvers still have their place. A few I can think of are .357, .44mag, 454 Casull, .460 &.480 Ruger,  .475 &.500 Linebaugh, and of course, .500 S&W. Barring the Desert Eagle, these cartridges have left the semi-autos in the dust. All guns are cool.

I would love to have a Webley, shame they are so hard to get.

Really been getting into these guns. It caught my attention when I seen in the show Peaky Blinders. Anyone know where to get one in TN?

Webley MkVI came in both .38 and .455. It wasn't just the MkIV that was .38.

I modified my full moon clips to fit the .455 cartridge. Works great . Love your channel.

I had the opportunity to fire a Webley while in the service about 1981 or 82 (don't remember tbh),and it was a joy to be able to shoot.still love that to this day.Thanx for a great memory Tim.;)
