Omg I get it, alright hear me out, this is what the ARG is really about. The ARG's message itself IS the misuse of AI, and the account getting deleted IS the ending. They knew that it was all being archived by at least one person due to the engagement it was getting, so deleting it all wouldn't be a problem for the message it was trying to get across, it would only enhance it. The story is literally about the danger of a big company using AI to market children's entertainment on social media, for multiple different easily deductible reasons.

After watching this video, I think I have my own interpretation.

My theory is that the Lactids are a manifestation of the Echo Circuit generative AI. It makes false duplicates of people, while also infecting them, just like how AI takes from billions of pieces of media to spit out its schlock.

When Beast Boy was being infected and near death, he  mutated new limbs. Just like how AI famously messes up with hands and limbs.

I think the OC characters were, quite literally, OCs added by Liam, and the "Lactids" are the AI itself attempting to rectify the error, by destroying literally everything in an attempt to restart it.

For the record, I also think the characters in the videos actually are sentient. This is by pure mistake, as somehow the AI accidentally made the characters sapient and concious.

I think this arg is supposed to be a criticism of AI slop for children and how so much of it can be inappropriate for kids using popular characters children like and putting them in inappropriate and horrific situations. And it also shows how at the end of the day this is all for profit and not passion especially how the "worry" the company has for the target audience is most definitely done because it could have a negative monetary effect. Also I just like to think liam is genuinely tired of the bs his company is making him do so he is pulling from those analog horror, creepypastas, and infection au's about these cartoons as a pushback against the company by feeding it into the system and the AI none the wiser thinks these are what the cartoons are about and the continuous story about the lactids could be from liam himself feeding a fanfic or original writing of his to the machine giving an overarching story through the posts.

Tldr: an employee at an AI content farm realizes that they have free will and said "screw it I hated working here anyways"

It's a shame the account got deleted. I really liked the AI route the story was going, it was a really interesting way to criticize the use of AI in media, especially media made for kids

I think the story would have gone better if it had gone like this:

Yeast and the Lactids were AI attempts at making Gumball characters, but they couldn't make them look like actual Gumball characters. The Lactids must have realised that they didn't look anything like the other characters, so they started to attack characters like Raven's and Penny's families. I'm guessing the Lactid versions of Raven and Penny's father look exactly like them until the Lactid features start to show. Beast Boy's infection was meant to show how they are making these clones: attack a character and infect them. The infection progresses until the clone is ready to separate from the original, so Robin might not have killed Beast Boy; his body just couldn't handle the separation. Gunch and Jiblet were created by a person, so they aren't Lactids, even if they were never in the show.

Here's one thing that makes me believe that the whole "Lactid" thing, is not just generated by AI, but instead it feels like it is "translating" an alternative reality. Whatever is feeding it, gave information about the Lactids, what they are and their behaviour. It reminds me of how people tried to make AI generate images and videos of Hell, and ending up with imagery that isn't just your usual burning cave with evil red demons, but instead disturbing imagery with people constantly suffering and becoming a solid mass of flesh. How did it come up with this interpretation of Hell? AI doesn't come up with stuff like this, it is like a mixer. It takes info or data and mixes it into a smoothie. So how did AI get the information about such concept as Lactid and especially a coherent timeline of events in both universes? Where is the data coming from?

The only remaining loose end is the existance of Gonch and Jiblet. But have you noticed that after Jiblet was supposedly killed by Penny, we never gotten more videos about Gumball? Sure the series ended early, intentional or not.. but what if they are what's feeding the AI. Perhaps, they are observer figures, entities either made by AI or Company to observe and get data from cartoon universes. Maybe they use "AI OC" as a way for the AI to familiarise and insert themselves into the universe. And once one of these observers is dead, the connection is lost and they can no longer translate or use data of the observed universe. And perhaps Gonch was killed too, since we don't see him in last video. So with both observers gone, the account just cannot exist anymore, since it cannot get any more data.
