The person who has platinumed games like crypt of necrodancer, super meat boy and jump king> the person who has 99 million platinums of shewalware games

my name is mayo is the RDR2 of modern shovel ware at this point lol

The "top" trophy accounts are definitely more than one person.

Here in Brazil we call these games as 'garapa' a sweet drink made of sugar cane, and those who had joined the darkside of garapas we do call them 'garapeiros'. Once you call someone of 'garapeiro' they start the Rocky Balboa Motivational Speech to justify being lazy and 'i dont do for ranks' while they're looking really hard for ranks ahhaahh

Stroke the Dik-Dik gets an exception, it’s a masterpiece

The only reason I have mayo platinum is because it’s iconic shovelware game. (ONLY THE FIRST MAYO GAME)

I wanna do the research somehow with a community ranking system and figure out who the best trophy hunter is. With zero shovelware as a requirement.

Only real legends know Sandrez is secretly talking about Squirrel with a gun

On Steam, most achievement hunters use SteamHunters, where each achievement has a point value based on how many people have unlocked it and some other stuff. Shovelware games rarely have more than 1,000 at max and the actually hard 100%s can be in ranged of 20k-50k to even 200k points on some games, it makes it way more worth to go for the harder games

I think I’m around 240-250 plats but I don’t care what my plat count or anybody else’s is. It’s all about completion % and platinum rarity. How many ultra rares or sub-1’s somebody has, that’s what’s impressive

An easy fix to shovelware would just be to have them not have a platinum. They have the requisite 8-10 trophies but don’t get a platinum, like a lot of other shorter games. That immediately eliminates  the issues

I have 7 platinums. All of them are singleplayer story games and I'm just glad that managed to get them

An important topic. The stroke dev makes me angry for clogging the PSN store. Hot take: People who buy and play stroke games and other shovelware are addicts.

I only ever, EVER, play games I know, or at least think, I'll enjoy. I'll never play a "game" that consists of tapping the same button over and over to get a quick Platinum. It's pointless to me.

I won't tell other people what to do, or not do, but I'll never play that type of shovelware.

i became a shovelholic when i try to platinum ff10, the first dose makes me play ff relaxed, but now when i play any game and i dont get any trophy i have to sniff a quick dose of shovelware games

my name is mayo is actually kinda fun. if only the platinum wasnt that easy

I regret doing some shovelware platinums, I currently have 41 and about 7-8 are shovelware. But I am trying to make up with harder and more  time consuming platinums.

Respect for analyzing these type of trophy hunters. Even though I take pride in harder plats, I'm guilty of caving in for easy plats every now & than especially when I'm super stressed & just unlocking a plat feeling to relax helps. Though I was most guiltily getting a bunch in a row when we we're locked inside when covid-19 took over, thats the only time I really regret caving in from the amount I sunk into playing to get some comfort plats.

I agree with you but I swear I love all 3 my name is mayo games 😂

Btw, I know that Steam is looked down upon in achievement hunting communities, but I do have to admit we also have this sort of issue as well, to an extent.

I don't think we have it as bad as "click 1000 times for plat" games but we still have tons of low quality games with 100% achievements to hunt.
