This is how we celebrate the wisdom of our elders.

Roy Ayers... father of the Cool funky jazzy bebop crossover, and then some!!!  Grew up with the greats (thanks, Dad), then the pot started cooking in the 70's...😎🎶✔️💥♥️✨👍

The pianist is a monster holy shit.

The Drummer never stops

he's had such a huge impact on music, a legend

When Roy has a good drummer he is sublime

A living legend still making it do what it do !

Roy actually signed my Everybody Love's the Sunshine album, yes, album...way back when.

I've been searching also......for good music and my search is over. Bassist killed that searching solo.🔥

This man is music! The best!

Everybody loves Roy "The Sunshine" Ayers

This man has actually amassed an enormous catalog of music using the syllable "doo"....which leads me to believe, there is something about that "doo"

Roy Ayers, I just want to thankyou way back in the 70's for shaking my hand as well as my sister and the photo that you sign after
the concert my music was simply
off the chain especially with
that bad A** women who was singing in the band....Carbondale, IL. Southern Illinois 😎.

Never tired to listen to new live version of his old songs

Roy Ayers is one of the most influential artistic performers that I first truly paid attention to that got me loving music.
Thank you  so much.
I so appreciate him so much.
He may not remember I vaguely remember myself the whole details.
But I did have the opportunity to sing a solo song with him on piano when I was high school.
I truly enjoyed coming across this video.

Timeless in a class all by himself RIP MR.ROY AYERS🎤🎧🥁🎹🎸🎻🎛🎚🎼🫡

Dang I saw Roy in concert in 1978 and he was still kicking it like this in 2016? Boss Man!

Living Legend. To see him live was CHURCH … nothing else needs to be said
