People who live in the area are lucky to have Stuart as their local mechanic. The attention to detail and commitment to quality is a credit to the industry. My LBS in Australia is good but I would be grateful if he could work on my bikes.

7:25. I don't have a compressed air source but I find that my battery leaf blower used close up is also quite good at blowing away those drops of water hiding in awkward corners including in the levers and  chain. In combination with microfibre cloth you can get the bike dry in quick time.

Hope you keep making these for a long time, the more servicing I can do to my own bikes the less poor I will be.

Regarding the frame / stay wear from the owner's shoes, that does look pretty heavy.  A video of when she is riding could be a good way of diagnosing the issue, but without that, my guess it's a combination of i) a duck-footed feet position with balls of feet placed in the middle or frame-side (side-to-side) of the pedals, combined with ii) a relatively narrow hip width, the latter dimension has a bearing on a person's stance width.

I have relatively wide hips, during road bike fittings I have always preferred pedal spindles that are wider than standard as comparing these back-to-back, standard feels like I'm riding on a kids bike.

Those muck off bike preasure washers are brillant, I have one myself usually get all the major grim off use the suds adaptor foam up the bike fins brush over it and rinse off, Hate a dirty bike a clean bike makes easy to find things that have gone wrong, also take off my chain and clean it as well, a good clean bike make its easy to repair, some of the bikes you get i gringe at the dirt on them.

I have 2012 trek fuel ex 8, 3x 26" 😉 (26 "3x forever 😜)
13 years i wash it with normal (car) pressure washer i don't have any problem 🤟
So....
Every winter i disassemble the  bike, clean it and it's ready for next spring 🚴🥳

The impact wrench, what's the torque on it? I probably wont spend on  a Makita but will look for something similar.

I had a similar wear problem on my MTB when I first started riding. Its a combination of shoe size and flat pedals. I changed to Shimano SPD's and never looked back. 👍👍
