As soon as he said “a cover” I already knew he was about to be blown away lol..

When Alter Bridge perform Blackbird live, Myles Kennedy always starts the song with the opening chords from the Beatles version..... then Mark Tremonti starts with the actual song intro. The song is considered a tribute to Myles' friend Mark Morse who passed away while the song was being written.
The other three band members Mark Tremonti (Guitar), Scott Phillips (Drums) and Brian Marshall (Bass) were all members of Creed and formed Alter Bridge with Myles in 2004 after Creed split.

Alter Bridge are brilliant

You will be blown away hearing their new album, their 8th one. AMAZING!!  Fan from the beginning in 2004. Slash is another project Myles is in.

You have to do them doing, "Words darker than their wings" live at the Albert Hall. Genuinely incredible.

Thank you for reacting to my song request. I respect your analysis of Myles’ guitar playing. I am so glad you enjoyed Alter Bridge. This wasn’t my type of music either or so I thought. I have been listening to them for 15 years now.

Great you should listen "slave to master" from their new album and theses two epic solo from Myles and Mark 😅🎸

I like your beatles story and your praise of Paul McCartney is never wasted. It is Myles Kennedy and Alter bridge is his main gig

5:48 AlterBridge is the entire band of Creed except Scott Stapp. Myles Kennedy is the lead singer instead

Your story at the end about Myles sounds like the story Mark Tremonti has said in the past. When they were doing the first Alter Bridge album, Myles was staying at Marks house. Mark went by his room and hear guitar playing from the room. He thought it was an album and thought it was really good and he walked in to see who Myles was listening to and that's when Mark found out Myles plays guitar(He even admits at times that Myles might actually be better than him, lol). Myles didn't play any guitar on the first album, but has played guitar on every album since and has given that band tremendous depth and dimension. If you get a chance to listen to the Fortress album, go for it. I know you said that style of music isn't quite your jam, but the guitar playing on that album is exceptional.

AlterBridge are awesome! I discovered them after hearing Myles Kennedy with the Slash and Myles / Conspirators project, which I liked…
I wondered who the awesome singer was with Slash, and discovered AlterBridge!   They rapidly became my favourite band by far!
Slash should definitely use Myles’ guitar skills more often! He’s legitimately excellent!

You need to do words darker than their wings ( live from the royal Albert hall) next

A cover? Is that myles kennedy?

Oh bro...  buckle the fuck up! 🤘

Side note, check out "one day remains" by alter bridge... that riff... at that speed, is inhuman.

Slash has actually known of Myles for a very long time. He was actually offered to lead Velvet Revolver before Scott Weiland was offered that gig way back in the day. Myles as been with Alter Bridge since like 2004. Maybe a little bit earlier. Pretty much when Creed ended, the other three(Mark, Scott and Brian) walked right into Alter Bridge and brought Myles in after interviewing some singers. They knew him from touring with him in the past when he was leading The Mayfield Four.

The definition of a modern rock masterpiece.

Will be seeing AB 3 times on their upcoming UK tour.

ALTER BRIDGE keeps me alive.

Alter Bridge are super nice guys, on top of being amazing musicians. I got to meet them back in 2014, and they stood out for a good half-hour in the cold Seattle drizzle and talked with the fans that hung out outside the venue after the show. One of my top five favorite shows I’ve been to. I’d highly recommend checking out “Words Darker Than Their Wings” from their Royal Albert Hall show. Really shows what makes them such a special band.

I love Alterbridge.... they're so underrated. Mark Tremonti is one of my favorite guitarists.....Mark is also a really good singer

now all i want is to see a guitar player reacting to m favorite solo, hearing Bon Jovi - Dry County, never asked you anything

Yes that is Myles.  Saw him on the slash tour last year at Birmingham, then again in his own headine tour and saw Alter Bridge last week in Nottingham. Absolutely amazing. And the 2nd guitarist is Mark Tremonti who was in Creed before AB... and it was him who said about discovering Myles was playing jazz in his bedroom.
