The queen could have stopped him being hanged and she didn't shame on her

To coin a phrase that I imagine has largely fallen out of use now, Derek Bentley was stitched up like a kipper! The society in which he lived had been ridiculing and dehumanising him his whole life and couldn't wait to throw him away altogether as soon as the opportunity came. A truly shocking miscarriage, I am glad that he's never been forgotten.

RIP Mr. Bentley 🌹
RIP Mr. Miles 🌹

Id say that this case is one of the main reasons (along with Ruth Ellis and Timothy John Evans) is the reason why people who really deserve to be hanged no longer are in the uk. I'd say the Death penalty was misused in several cases and that means that we now have a situation were people who are obviously guilty of the most terrible atrocities are now held in prison where they either attack prison officers or are attacked by fellow inmates.

Poor boy was just a scapegoat, cause it was a policeman that was killed, basically murdered by the state, absolutely shocking case yet Christopher Craig who shot the gun only did 10 years

P.c mills was definitely caught in what's known as friendly fire, ie "shot by one of his own".. It's been said Craig's gun was not fit for purpose, plus ballistics never found the bullet that killed the policeman (strange that)😢...
