My friends who refuse to give FF14 a shot become Retainers.

I'd rather have a dancing cactus than gaslight gatekeep girlboss.

i thought Guild Wars 2 was just Josh Strife Hayes and his many bots

"If you play FF XIV you're a degen"
Bruh, that's true for every MMO player

RIP SWTOR guy. She was not the droid you were looking for.

ESO and GW2's arguibly biggest strengths is that they're not interested in competing with WoW or FF14.

They've just been focused on periodically releasing new content and appeasing their own fanbases. Both exist in their own bubbles and that's been a blessing in disguise.

The cute stuff in 14 helps the pain of spending 6 hours progging savage only to progress pass through 1 mechanic. You know how many times I've had to sit in Limsa after dying over and over in savage just so I didn't go insane? I don't even remember.

listening to this video while playing GW2. A reason as to why no one really knows we exist is due to the fact that Anet doesn't really do any kind of marketing for it besides the little that is aimed at their own playerbase.

Us GW2 players just sitting on discord with our guildies and talking about how Arenanet could do better at marketing the game, while also just vibing with each other.

the guy who named the droid after you is crying and punching a wall right now watching this. lol

6:45-6:51 Zepla never change! ^^
Contagious laughs are best laughs

Problem with GW2 is... the devs for YEARS kinda forgot they had this MMO on their hands. Or, as Josh put it just recently, "Arenanet just miraculously found their RP team". They just... didnt bother with the game at all. There were updates but there was no plan. And no communication. This changed only this last year with the new expansion an their commitment to finally double down and make and plan this game properly.

4:27 - BWORKS: GW2 = Fightclub. Awesomely true comment. Thanks for the video, made my day.

4:10  The thing is ... Anet HAS messed up a ton but even that doesn't get any attention from anyone outside of the Gw2 communities.

The New World intro just had me dying

Before it starts, I genuinely believe FFXIV is for people who have daddy issues. It's why Thancred and Urianger are so popular.

I played LOTRO many years ago. Played for about a year, maybe a little longer. After I quit, one of my RL friends kept paying the fees for my house. I told him he was crazy. He was too. He was out there.

People have been sleeping on SWTOR so much... It has amazing horizontal progression in terms of cosmetic items, like literally dozens of cool armors, weapons, mounts, stronghold decorations etc. and you can get them with in-game currency or tokens based on a reputation system. I don't think any other mmo has such plethora of those. You can have all your characters looking absolutely unique without spending a single cartel coin, especially if you add dyes into the mix. The only cartel coins exclusive thing would be weapon tunings (special visual effects for the weapons), but literally every cc item can be bought with ingame currency from other players, so that's basically just a matter of some grinding

Oh he got me wrong!
I'm a catgirl in a purple dress!

ffxi is always going to be my favorite mmo. A close second is phantasy star universe.
