I just love the fact that this middle age mad lad is gushing over frame time perfection. We are all in search of ULTIMATE SMOOTHNESS BROTHER!

Thanks Mike Ehrmantraut

The double door is the true final boss 😂

2:38 I think the reason nobody thought of this before is because most people probably didn’t realize that the in game frame limiters were doing it so poorly. I had no idea.

Framepacer will definitely be as popular as LLS one day

Consistent frame pacing > high frame rate
Thank you for your dedication to this topic. We need more people talking about this 🙌

I always prefer quality before quantity

LMAO I genuinely thought I'm the only person doing the shock therapy with low fps thing...it works every time!

"It's a simple door, plenty of door, in many games" i'm sold lmaooo 🤣🤣

mans talking about "surviving low FPS" and "shock therapy" when thats just how i live 😭

But for real, this video is great

10 years ago I was that guy how always wanted to use the PC at 100% GPU usage and screaming PC fan noise and power consumption, now I just want to game at stable 60fps in silence, this is perfect.

It was already done long time ago. RTSS does the same while being free.
These setup for RTSS is identical to this program:

Frametime calculation point = frame presentation
Enable framerate limiter = front edge sync
Enable passive waiting = false

(Add program to RTSS UI, limit fps on the right, click blue Setup button and match the parameters from above)

holy shit i love the accent and the emotions, what a boss talker

You want low fps… I was made in it, molded by it

this is the best performance tips channel on youtube hands down, this guy cracks me up

dude i've never watched one of your videos before but at this point im just watching just to listen to you talk about whatever you're pretty funny

Truly a hardware accent 🔥

I watch a lot of gaming graphic channels, but there is something about how you explain this thing man, the right enthusiasm, but at the same time so down to earth and simply no big words no big  "Nvidia this Nvidia that 5090 here 5090 there bla bla bla" just good old "ey guys check this out".You will blow up! Love your videos. Keep it up!

It’s simply down to WHERE the bottleneck is:

The in-game limiter kicks in right at the start of the engine (CPU). Because the CPU load fluctuates ever so slightly from frame to frame, the graph looks jagged. On the other hand, you have virtually no input lag, because the frames are displayed on screen the moment they’re ready.
An external tool like this sits right at the end of the chain, collects the finished frames from the graphics card and stubbornly pushes them out at perfect intervals like a clock. This makes the line dead straight and the image feels ultra-smooth, but it does build up a noticeable, artificial input lag.
In short: This smooth graph looks brilliant and is great for single-player games. For fast-paced shooters, though, you’re better off using the in-game limiter – screw the spikes in the graph.
