Stealing the plane parts was the original E4 Mafia at work!

Solid point on adding weight with the extra guns & ammo. Not explained in the video, but the crew determined that the original design could afford some major weight reduction & stripped about 2000 pounds more than they added.

In the military, they used to call it "midnight requisitions".

Your reaction to these fat electron videos are the exact reaction 99% of his fans had when they heard these amazing stories

15:33 close quarters combat just means you’re close. It can be knife, gun, anything really

A personal favorite video of mine from the Fat Electrician is the Old Age and Treachery video. It’s about the 77th Infantry Division during WW2. Bad ass dudes with total dad energy and it’s perfect.

These men should never be forgotten. My father was one.

Close quarters combat just means really close to each other!

The look on your face of absolute aww. Was the same look I had the first time i heard this. Keep going brother. This is amazing.

As you can see, this generation of men were just wired completely different than we are today.  They figured out stuff and made things work that had no reason too.  These gentlemen are something special, hell everyone the TFE teaches us about is something special and they are also people we have never heard of until now.  This rabbit hole you are descending into is very deep and full of all kinds of knowledge, we must remember this and share it with others so these stories are not forgotten like these men and some women have been forgotten.

At the time, life was WAY harder!  Largely because of that, grit, determination, and tenacity were rewarded far more often. On camping outside MIT - That generation's refusal to take no for an answer was to say "let me prove it". Whereas today, the same defiance often just means "I deserve it".

Prior Army here. The command is usually concerned about one thing and that covering their own ass. If they have a crew that strays from orders it makes them look bad and even worse if something bad were to happen the command could be punished by their higher ups. So what usually happens is you’re not allowed to go do dangerous stuff…even though it’s the freakin military during war, because if something happens to you, your commander might have to “explain” something to a general. Hence they just restrict the troops from doing anything but the bare minimum to finish the mission because your command won’t stick their neck out for anyone. Still happens today.

That is why they are called The Greatest Generation

These are the kind of men that defeat hard times and create good ones. These are the men that governments fear.

There needs to be a Old 666 movie

The Angels story and the story about Reckless the horse are also great stories

1970  --  1974 Joined the Navy, Seabees.  Every team, squad, and Company had an Expeditor.  Our Thief, trader, and con artist. Then we had a Marine TOP, advisor, Daddy Figure.

To acquire all the parts they needed means that he had an in with the E4 Mafia. Supply officers may be in charge, but enlisted clerks do all the inventory and paperwork and are open to trade favors.

People from these years are called "The Greatest Generation" for a reason.

When it comes to gun fights, close quarters battle/combat (cqb/cqb) usually refers to room/house distances. Think less than 100 feet. Most military engagements are at distances of hundreds of yards.

CQB is probably the most dangerous type of engagement because the enemy can hide around every corner and they will not miss their shots so close up.
