The Regular Guy cockroach shout-out was hilarious!! So true. Rents low-end hotels and B&Bs in the Fils, and surprised to find bugs.

Thought I might share my cockroach story with you. Back in 2002, I lived a crazy life in Bali. I was briefly seeing a girl who lived in Kuta on Jalan Legian. One night we had way too much to drink and went back to her place. Her room used to be a shop on the main street. Being a shop, the window was much lower than the bed. Of course, because we were drunk, we got on top of the bed completely naked and did the usual activity that I seemed to do every day in Bali ;-) The only problem was that, because we were so drunk, we had forgotten to close the curtain! I woke up midday with blurry eyes and noticed something brown on my ass. I thought ''wtf is that?' Then it moved down my leg, and I realised it was a cockroach! I had been sleeping with my ass about a foot from the window. In shock, I jumped out of bed with a shiver down my spine. Only then did I realise that the curtain was open and my ass was facing the glass. As I jumped up with everything else on show, I looked through the window, and there were about 8 people in shock, just staring at me. They weren't laughing, they were just in as much shocked as me. I was so embarrassed! The thing is, this was already midday,, so being that it was Kuta there must have been a thousand people walking past with a full view of my arsehole and they cockroach abusing me in my sleep.
I also fell asleep while standing upright on a motorbike at the traffic lights...yep, it is possible when you lean so far forward your knees lock. It was my mate, who left the club 20 mins after me, who woke me up. There are many more stories, but you get the idea of what life was like back then.
